A motley crew of pigs was being escorted up sharrow lane towards psalter lane at about half seven by a load of 5 oh. Any idea where they’d been?

It always makes me laugh that these tough guys don’t just scatter and always seem quite pleased to have been picked up. Presumably stuck in a nice pub - might have been on the way to the Stag - rather than let them beat up the window of the chippy fifteen minutes after kick off.

Pigs only act hard when safe behind a police escort. Always been the same.

Some are probably like that, some are probably legitimately hard and up gor it, and some are probably peace loving non-violent types. It's almost as though they are made up thousands of individual people.

If they're heading for The Stag they've got a cracking pint called St Petersberg on there at 7.4%. Let's see if they're hard enough to tackle that...
If just been in there. The most lovely middle class start to a derby day. I’m only guessing that they would be trying to herd them somewhere but can’t imagine the stag being pleased about being used. One good thing would be that it doesn’t have sky so they would have missed the game (although they might have preferred that)

The Stag use to have Sky, was the there watching a United there on a weds night back in 97 after finishing a lecture at Hallam uni, my old man picked me up cause mi car was having an mot that day.. a lovely pub fuull of blades watching the game..was the last drink I ever had with him..he passed passed away 2 days later on the golf course.
:(

Was meant to be a gang of them heading down London Road in a van, tooled up. Don’t think it ever materialised.

Thinking about it they were being escorted away from the lane and London rd.

They were probably being taken into town but not via London rd.

If I were tasked with moving a load of pigs away from trouble would I go;

A) straight down London rd (a united hot bed of passion and love, where undoubtedly fans were watching on tv somewhere)

Or

B) past the retirement homes, posh houses, cemetery and building sites that have developed around that area up from the flats.

I doubt they’d have been dumped in The Stag and were probably taken to somewhere on West St and ‘monitored’

A non story really

Apart from of course the inevitable chavtastic tales of legend that will develop on some porky websites of how they took S7 and wrecked The Cross Guns. Oops!!

I had to download the Green Street Translator app to Google Chrome to understand that.
Oh you mean 5-oh, as in Hawaii 5-0, the fuzz, old bill, rozzers. Can’t remember where I got that from, it’s a hip hop reference I think.

Rumour has they were supposed to have a pop at the heeley red lion which buggered my after match drink up as both there and the crown were forced to shut :(

Due to unfortunate circumstances my lad is unable to go to the Lane so went to the Crown to watch. He had to drive past as there was loads of five o outside the Crown and the Lions. When he finally got back, it seemed loads of United lads had turned up after being on London Rd. The Crown was open for the football later.

It was closed after the game

Because it’s all a show. Very few hooligans ever went / go toe to toe.
