Mick Jones, Tony Currie, Brian Deane, Jan Age Fjortoft, Kevin MacDonald, The Kyles, Jamie Murphy........

I don't mind some players going as long as a decent replacement is lined up.

Not sure I am that impressed if Woolford is the answer though but time will tell.

Brian the Blade wants us to be getting Kev McDonald back. And he seemed willing to do a lap around Swillsboro stark bollock naked for some reason.

I think the Murphy sale's finally sent him over the edge.

It sounds like he wanted to go so there's not a lot the club can do about it just invest the transfer fee in some good signings.
Che can step into his boots from tomorrow.

What I want to know though is how do other clubs do it ?. Take PNE for instance, Garner, surely other clubs from higher leagues were clambering to sign him last season, but did Preston sell him ?.

No but if they hadn't have gone up would they have had to?

It's laughable to put Murphy in that company regards influence on the team.

Talk about exagerration, it's laughable especially when we have potentially a much better replacement in Che Adams capable of filling and surpassing Murphys boots.

Or would you rather we stick Adams in the reserves or loan him out.
We are top heavy on decent strikers and attacking midfielders so we need to offload asap
And spend any funds on central defenders and a goalie.

Looking highly likely Brighton are gonna be selling their highly rated Lewis Dunk (for maybe £4m).
BUT only after having bought a direct replacement of some immense mofo of a German centre-half as well as Jamie Murphy BEFOREHAND.
Watch & learn Blades board, watch & learn. All clubs have to sell, but there's ways of doing it.

Anyway. Fuck it. All in the past now. Looking forward to Chessy.
And glad we've got the distress of selling out of the way long before the tranny window closes, leaving us to look forward to simply speculate about who we'll be buying. And then being disappointed all over again when the window closes.

He was in the team that failed to go up when they lost out to Rotherham in play offs though Bush, yet they still managed to hang on to him for another full season.
We managed to hang onto Murphy last year after he played a part in our FA Cup run, which probably put him on a few people's radar.
And they're two different people. Murphy's obviously ambitious, he left home to come to Sheffield to join a club he probably expected to be in the championship by now.

If they didn't go up last season he probably wouldn't be with them now .
