Well I dreamt last night that I was watching United play Southampton at St Marys next season, let's hope they get promoted.....

Don`t follow your thinking here...

If you are saying that cov are racing certanties to go into admin, given our current league position, we don`t need to do anything. We are already above Preston and Scunthorpe...

That's a very fair point, ta. I'm not sure we'll finish above PNE but certainly things are looking a bit better after Saturday's performance.

Ignore Coventry - we need to finish above Palace!

I can see there version of this forun now, there version of Mic is questioning why they ever went to an allseater stadium at Highfield road.:D

Not sure admin is really on the cards there this season. SISU has pushed in approx £25 mill so they will not want to go into admin and have no way of recouping their outlay. That's different to them not having money to bring in loans to cover the string of injuries they have. Richard Wood is now out for 6 weeks and there is talk of one of their players going to Cardiff on loan. Odd time to shed the manager as well without a replacement in the wings. Bobby Gould has stated he would do it for nothing until the end of the season.

They don't own the Ricoh, they lease it from the Council so they are probably in the deep pooh when it comes to assets versus liabilities. Losing £4mill a year is not sustainable and they are losing what little crowd they had left.

Hardly surpising that Ranson is bolting. If we are to survive in the Champ this season I see that we will have to climb above Coventry to do so. I think Palace will get more points and stay above us even if we go on a mazy run and give ourselves a fighting chance.

Still at least they had one fan who won best supporter this year at the npower awards - must be hard supporting a nonentity of a club like Coventry City so the award was probably well deserved.

Aye, twenty odd consecutive years in the top flight and an FA Cup win. Fucking hard work that must have been.

The FA Cup win was the only bright spot for them. City were the perennial relegation strugglers in the top flight until they eventually dropped then in the championship they start off brightly but plummet to just above the relegation zone, escaping by the skin of their teeth. Never been in a play off situation City is a dull, insipid, lifeless, homeless, drifter of a nothing club that plays in a Tesco Extra Stadium they don't own. Let's hope they dont escape relegation this year and we can get above them.

Someone posed a question on the shoutbox a while back... Which League team hasn't finished in the top six of their league for 30 something years.

T'was Cov.
