A post on BM:

Took my youngest lad this morning to take a
look at the team and was told we had to leave!
We were just stood by the pitch not bothering
anybody. Not the best PR from the Blades at
half term.
UTB

Has the club's policy on this changed, or did something special happen yesterday that they didn't want anyone to know about? Like a mystery world star on trial or our players' pathetic form in a beep test.

Anyway, when we've travelled over from Scandinavia we've often travelled up to Shirecliffe to watch a training session, especially if there's no U18 game. If we're spending three or four days in Sheffield, it is nice to have something more scheduled than 90 minutes of sometimes not-so-great football.

It's usually down to the manager and the management team, most prefer closed sessions towards the end of the week and when they are working on game preparation.

For obvious reasons, they don't want people who they don't know stood watching what they are working on.

I'll seek to clarify Cloughy's thoughts.

Looking at the above post, I'd suggest it could have been handled better, but it may just have been a steward asked to clear the sidelines?

The BM representatives who attend the meetings may also wish to take that forward themselves... they appear to be less forward at putting their heads above the parapet than Foxy and myself but bulmer, guzz and darblade have all attended SLO meetings in the past.

Nigel Clough is going to confirm the schedules long term.

At the moment, people are welcome to watch training tomorrow, but in general he wants a more private schedule.

Training is closed before matchdays for match preparation and players have a day off on Thursdays.
