Watch out Shrews. Somebody is due a pasting at the Lane.

Since half time v Oldham I think our performances at the Lane have been excellent. Good attacking v Tranmere, bottle against Fulham, great response to conceding 2 goals v Bradford. It's a footballing cliche that somebody is due a pasting but I am sure it's imminent.

When was the last time somebody actually did receive a proper tonking at the lane?

And Birmingham 4-0

I had a season ticket that season (2001/02) and ended up missing that Birmingham match to go away on a student weekend. I was gutted when I heard the result, more so that even Monty had scored (!). Having said that, I met a girl that I ended up marrying so it wasn't all bad...

That could well and truly but the Kibosh on it.

I think 4-0 v Yeovil on 10/1/12 was the last time we won by more than 3 at home.

I think we've been an in form striker away from giving someone a pasting a the last month or two. We've created plenty, dominate games and ripped teams apart but for all the hard work getting the ball into a dangerous area we have failed to achieve anything.

I am hoping Paynter comes good now as he gets sharper, he is more than capable of braces and hat-tricks in this league and that partnered with the goals that are coming from midfield will see us eventually give someone a pasting. In the meantime if Paynter can't hit this form we do need that new body coming into the club!.

The OP is right though, we are very close to giving sombody a proper hammering but we just need that missing ingredient.

We must be watching a different team then. 'Someone is due a pasting', 'missing ingredient' etc. is just talk. Notts C, Walsall, Shrewsbury, Crewe etc. are reality.

Fail to win tomorrow and we're in the shit.

Win tomorrow and we're still in the shit.

Sorry, but that's just the way it is.:(

We did this on a regular basis in our first season in League 1 pre the Ched Debacle.
Werent we the top scorers in Europe or something?

I remember being 0-4 up at meadow lane at ht!

Any win counts as a pasting at the moment. In 20 years time this site will still recall the back to back wins over Fulham after 120 mins followed by the thrashing of Shrewsbury 1-0 thanks to a Man City style incident involving a balloon/toilet roll/seagull/other

Both fingers and eyes are crossed mate!

Here's hoping...

UTB!

Based on the stuff served up this season that was a pasting
