At my lads school, they are currently doing football lessons after school, and this is being put on by the SWFC Football in the community scheme.

Yesterday i had to sign a form allowed my lad to be photographed as they are doing a photo shoot and it will be appearing in a forthcoming Wednesday matchday programme, and if possible could all parents send their kids to school with Wednesday shirts.

End result is my lad has gone to school with his full Blades kit in his bag,

It is only a small battle in the grand scheme of things, but every little helps.

What a fucking liberty by the school?!! As I've mentioned before, there were only 2 Blades at my school growing up and it was difficult at times (but fucking wonderful in '91) so for your lad's school to actively encourage a show of "massive" support grinds my gears!

Keep the faith, Brownie. The infidels must not win. Indoctrination of our children must not happen. If he is forced to wear the garb of the enemy, he must be thoroughly cleansed and debriefed. He will recover. He is a Blade.

HB Jnr played for a development team at Coventry City and they wanted to take a photo for something or other... Very proud to see a blaze of Red and White in the middle of a sky blue desert. Not quite a battle in the War on Pigs, but a skirmish nonetheless with a non-Blades side.

Same scenario at my lads school. I take great faith that a team of Wednesday coaches are schooling him into a future Blades striker.*

The badge the coaches wear is of no interest to me but the day he wears a Wednesday shirt is the day he's on the
street.I haven't endured 29 years of shit so he can pick his football teams willy nilly.

*Judging by his last few sessions there's more chance of me copping off with Scarlett Johansson

Until then - this is the closest you'll get I presume?

We had school trip to Hillsbrough, think i was 11 or 12. I told my uncle and he told me to go in full United kit, which i did,
I got ribbed all day by these 2 pigs who were showing us round ground, they also did a quiz all day as we went round,
mostly about Wednesday's former players etc, and winner got a Pair of free tickets and a trophy.
I won it, but when i got called up to collected it i gave em it all back, so they had to give it to kid who come 2nd.
Think i won in end

Silicon chip inside their head attempt
Tell my why we all hate Wednesday.....

Silicon chip inside their head attempt
Tell my why we all hate Wednesday.....

because they are arrogance personified.

It is a toss up at whether it is the pigs or wolves who have the most arrogant fans in the country. No mater when they get interviewed it's always " We DESERVE to be in the premier league"

quite simple really................

FUCKING ARROGANT TWATS.

UTB and seeing as it's about the pigs......FTP (just so Dartblade feels at home)

Did it genuinely say that? Every time the blades have done this you see pics in the programme of kids in Wednesday shirts, Man U shirts Real Madrid shirts the lot.

That is taking the piss if they are insisting that.

What school is this?

Casually - yes

but

professionally? Surely you wouldn't begrudge him that?

Oh no. The pain of spending my closing days shitting myself in a 5* nursing home would be numbed immeasurably knowing it was being paid for with SWFC dollars! :D

they could always Photoshop a pig kit on him :D

When my daughter went to Churwell Primary School in Leeds she was taken on a school trip to Elland Road.

Her teacher told me that she had been hit in the face by a ball and was in floods of tears so one of the staff brought out a Tshirt to try and cheer her up.

She took one look at the shirt, stopped crying immediately and said "you're joking, if I take that home my dad will kill me"

na na na na she's a Blade and she's a Blade

A sad footnote on todays events.

I went to pick him up from school after football training, and he was dressed in PE kit. He was in tears as i didn't pack him his football kit, or his sandwiches as he doesn't like either of the options on the food menu.

I then went through to his classroom to pick his stuff up, and on his peg was his Despicable Me bag, containing a Ham Sandwich, Bag of Seabrooks Crisps, Wagon Wheel and a Banana, as well as a full Sheffield United home kit.

Unfortunately as well as inheriting his Dads lack of footballing skills, he has also inherited his Dads ability to fail to listen........

Fortunately my grandkids age 10 and 15 are against all things Pig , despite their Grandfather on the other side trying to turn them into Swine.

My lad is also doing this after school thing. When he asked if he could do it I told him on one condition and that was that he had to wear his blades shirt.
His answer ---
I was planning on doing anyway.

Looks like I am bringing him up right.

Poor lad, if I'd missed out on a Wagon Wheel I'd have been hysterical.

Are you sure that the ham sandwich hadn't been confiscated by this school he is at? A concern that you're lad was eating one of their relations ? If the Seabrooks were smoky bacon it's a definite! Keep up the war on the swine.

What is a despicable me bag? Also known as a Hirst bag or something?

Love you long time dollars tickler!

Please don't ban me for this...but when I was U15 and U16 I played for the Young Owls (decent team to play for, good opportunity from a footy perspective with sessions with the academy team etc.). Every game I played I wore a United t-shirt under the strip.

During their relegation season in 1999-2000 we were the ball boys for a lot of the games. Every game I was ball boy I wore my United shirt underneath the piggy tracksuit. I felt like I was going undercover - stood on the sidelines at Hillsbrough, as a ball boy, with a United shirt on and no one new. Whenever Wednesday were winning I always got the ball really quick for the opposition, whenever they were losing I didn't budge...

...anyway, their 3rd to last home game of the season they played Sunderland and had to pretty much get a win or a draw. It was 0-0 until about the 85th minute and Kevin Phillips scored - I was towards the away end on the North Stand side of the pitch - I jumped up with joy when the ball went in and then suddenly realized what I was doing - the stewards and pigs on the front row didn't know what to do. I quickly sat back on my little stool..

...about two minutes later there was an offside given against Sunderland and the ball came right next to me. Pressman looked and me and motioned for me to get the ball..I stayed seated and looked the other way. Pressman had to run 30 yards to get the ball, then back again., wasting a precious 45 seconds. Wednesday then conceded a second goal shortly after. I like to think my time wasting helped contribute to the Pigs loss that day and then relegation...I may have to have had to wear the pigs kit for two years, but I like to feel I helped in their demise from the premier league!

I assure everyone this isn't a photoshop job and I wish I'd photographed the posters at Town Moor back in 2012 but was anyone else aware of this extraordinary joint* venture?
