Why do parachute payments get mention all the time?

We got promoted before without them even Forest, Luton & Ipswich got promoted without them in recent years.
This is pretty much my opinion. They got to La Liga before us, and when we eventually got out of the pub league, we negotiated our way to the PL. We didn't have a pot to piss in, yet we went up after a season in the championship.

That's given us PL benefits and woes, which management have sorted.

Do Luton have parachute payments? Are Burnley even more regular in the PL than ourselves. Ipswich came from league 1. Luton came from NL over the years.

On the basis of the pigs attitude football is pointless. It's not like a Newcastle will beat a Liverpool is it.

Money has very much changed things, Sky the main culprit.

However this is 2025, and if you can't muster the will to try, then fuck off and end your football team. Fuck me, Plymouth knocked the Victims out of the FA cup.

We went into yesterday as second favourites bookies wise.

If everything is so much a foregone conclusion why do we bother with this pyramid of football lark.

Pigs wise, excuses were already made. Probably in December 2023 when it was fairly apparent we'd be getting relegated. They probably thought they'd be in LG1 anyway.

Sausage will not be there in 7 or 8 months time.

End of sermon.

"They offered nothing apart from the goal".

....someone tell him you don't get points for 5 throw-ins in the first 10 minutes.
A Leeds fan was arguing with me today over this they scored 72 goals so what we know how to win

No extra points for goals, well perhaps it's one if the GD is beneficial as it were.

But if we weren't the first team in history to be punished by a transfer embargo AND a points deduction, goal difference would still mean they are 2 points behind not 1 point. As it is... God I hope you follow what I'm trying to say x

24/25 is the 25th season since they were relegated

  • 25 years is 1/4 of a century OBVS
  • 25 years equates to 4.16 World War 2s
  • 25 years 5 years longer than the US were in Afghanistan
  • 2000 was 1 year before 9/11
  • George Bush Jr was inaugurated after they were relegated
  • Countless childless men and women had kids post-2000 whose children have had gone on to have children thus making them grandparents
  • 4 years before Facebook was founded
  • 1 year before Wikipedia was founded
  • Yugoslavia has been known as 1.Yugoslavia, 2.Serbia and Montenegro, 3.Serbia
  • 19+ countries replaced their currency with the EURO. Greece was still using the drachma a year after them lot were relegated.
  • Concorde took its last flight 3 years after they were relegated, this was 22 years ago
  • 3 years before Tesla was founded
  • The Ford Escort would still be in production for a further 2 years AFTER their relegation

Nobody on the pitch yesterday would remember Wednesday as a PL side, not even the old chap called Barry with an egg in the nest.

They’re getting close to spending double the amount of time outside the top flight as we ever have (14 years is our record).

They’re not going to do it for at least 26 years now and that’s unlikely as Röhl will end up leaving soon, making it less likely yet. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they creep past the 30 years point.

The classy club...

Mocked a child that died of cancer.
Mocked an opposition fan having a heart attack in the stands.
Mocked George Baldock's death.
Racist incident with Kasey Palmer. Then doubled-down by booing him in the return fixture...
Chants aimed at Wilder's school-age daughter and repeated again today.
Missiles thrown at our players.

Isn't that just this season?
I don't think I've covered all of it.

But we're the city's scrubbers for what reason exactly?

And Wilder lacks class, why?
Because he's a working class bloke that enjoys a pint in the city he lives in... Because he's a Blades fan that wears his heart on his sleeve, as opposed to being an overly media trained "professional."

Bollocks.
They're jealous of the times we've had with Billy Sharp and Chris Wilder leaving them in our shadow. They'd give anything to be relevant again and to have a brand they could get behind.

Have a day off, Piggys.
I think he means they throw £1 coins on the pitch instead of 50p’s.

Generally, since their relegation from the PL at the turn of the century, we have had much better times on and off the pitch, than them. The only exceptions, are their two play off final wins. I am envious of those two special days, if I am totally honest.
