In my eyes if you hit the woodwork you've missed! It amazes me how fans from both sides often feel let down by the referee. How the Walsall player got away without a booking for the first assault on JCR I do not know. The so called shoulder (not hand) ball just in front us was almost farcical - if the ref had indicated the player couldn't get out of the way I would accept that. Later on the ref appeared to give handball in a similar situation against us but it was at the other end of the pitch and someone with a better view can confirm or deny. Thought Adams deserved his booking - he did a series of clumsy fouls in the second half.

All in all we were lucky to get away with the first half (after a promising opening 20 mins) but were a little unlucky not to get more from the second (in particular the Adams penalty and Adams one on one with the keeper from which he could have done better).

When a keeper pulls of a legitimate good save, it doesn't it should have been a goal any more than a defender blocking a shot.
Not one of them mentioned the Che stonewall penalty and subsequent red card.

Based on our current form, and theirs, they expected to turn us over yesterday. They're now worried that their purple patch is over. So it makes them feel better to say we're a good side. Conversely, we think we should be in the top two so we think we're worse than we actually are. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

I thought where they really battered us was the last 15-20 minutes when we were apparently just letting them have the ball on the wings (this may have been deliberate so we could pack the box and tbf I don't recall a clear cut chance for them) but this doesn't get a mention.

I couldn't see us surviving 5' added time.

You mean the toe he got on it after the centre half has pushed Adams in the back? He'd taken him out well before he'd touch any of the ball. Here's the frame before that happened. I can't believe there's any debate – it quite clearly should have been a penalty, and a red card.

If we don't improve to grab a top two spot, but manage to make it to the play-offs, I see us playing Walsall at some stage.
