There’s something about snatching a win like that that is so much more satisfying than if we’d won two or three nil. That moment where you go from ah well a point away is decent to running around like a mad idiot makes such a difference to how you view a game. And vice versa of course as we experienced so many times last season

Exactly the sentiment I was talking about walking out of the Blackburn game at home. Great win and a much better performance but nowhere near as good as the last minute joy bringer from last season. It's a different level of happiness.

They had 3 high percentage chances. It we had at least 5 including the goal

We dominated early on and could easily have been 3 up before they even got a spell of possession ,that's said I thought they player well but we showed real character to stay in the game and then claim the three points

While I agree with you Ains it's something Flecky has done for us a few times.
He might have. And I agree it's part of the game and not illegal in itself. For me, those "cynical fouls" should result in the player being sent to the sidelines until that attack has died off. I hate it, whether its us doing it or receiving it.

This made me chuckle.. contradiction much?

Why doesn’t he just bloody foul Brewster on the half way line, take a card, see the game out?
The lack of professionalism is staggering.

With re: to XG, according to Infogol:

Swansea 1.73 - 2.00 Sheffield United

So, a fairly even game which we just about shaded on chances.
A draw probably the fairest outcome but one goal was always likely to settle it.

We certainly weren't "bossed" or "dominated," even if Swansea did enjoy good spells of possession and overran us through the middle of the park in the 2nd half.

Our individual quality settled a very tight contest.
When you have the likes of Berge, Ndiaye, Khadra, Brewster & McBurnie this is always going to be a possibility.
We learned in the PL, if you don't take your chances against teams with better individuals you'll eventually get sucker-punched.

The late goal means that we can be satisfied with any kind of a result on Saturday heading into the international break.
Hopefully, by then, we have one or two returning from injury as we won't be able to keep up this momentum through October (8 games in 4 weeks) with our current (limited) options.

I've had this song in my head all morning,

Cheers, Woy.

5 subs means a team can now commit 16 cynical yellow card offences and keep 11 players on the pitch.

As a manager you’d accept bookings in return for halting attacks, now more than ever.

Course you would, but that's not my point. I personally regard it as cheating. No intention to get the ball, play the ball or try to win the ball. Like I said above, in the instance of a 'cynical foul' I'd advocate the offending player being removed from the pitch until the attack from the free-kick they have been awarded, is dead. Whether that be a goal kick, corner or throw-in.

I agree, and I think the subs situation tips it to the point where we should trial sin bins.

Agree, I'm not sure why people are saying they dominated. It was one of the most even games I've seen for years and it could have gone either way

View from Swansea... manager

No intent for the ball he was obviously aiming for a tactical yellow or maybe red who knows. Missed and got clipped in the process. Wasn't even looking at the bloody ball. They cocked up defensively. Just like Wes cocked up with his clearance. The difference is we capitalised and they didn't.

He trusts Kyle implicitly? I understand the manager has to be behind his players but just accepting what he said without looking in to it? Nah

It's such a lightweight challenge from Naughton, I hope if one of our defenders gets in that situation in injury time he takes a booking even if it results in a second yellow or straight red for denying a clear scoring chance....

Seeing how salty the swans got after the match, I hope Naughton shouted "go on Rhian" as he went to the floor 😂😂😏😂

I am not sure why Kyle is being advised that he should have fouled Brewster. From how I see it - that is exactly what he was trying to do.
