View From Orient

You have to feel for the 100 or so fans that came up here. Kept there sense of humour right to the final whistle before unleashing a verbal volley at there team. They were one of the worst sides I have seen us play in an awful long time. Will be a long and dismal journey home.
Nice work again Roy!

Cheers Roy, only problem from today then is that Freeman will get marked from corners and free kicks, oh well cant have it all, can we :-))

I know that feeling, when things are so bad you only have gallows-humour for comfort.

The Orient fans showed some real class today. Long round-trip, freezing and pissing it down, their team getting hammered and they took it all in a self-deprecating manner that fans of some clubs don't know the meaning of. I hope things pick up for them.

at 0-0,if it wasn't for a last ditch challenge they would have probably scored, instead the centre forward got injured and it all went downhill for them...glad I made the effort today, really enjoyed it

Sad in a way that supporters have to endure their teams woeful excuse for a game of football. Those Orient fans in the Bramall Lane stand are a credit to their club and are true football supporters. I hope they get their club in order because that was the most totally one sided game as anyone will see.

A great victory for us Blades in the end which is most important but those faithful Orient fans deserve credit for travelling to what was seen as a drubbing.

love this one
“Just realised I’ve still got Radio Sheffield on, and the first tune up in the next show………..Tragedy!
Couldn’t have scheduled it better myself.”

Feel sorry for them, great club, proper traditional setup, good fans, stadium. Sad to see and we can all relate to their demise. Hope they will bounce back, always liked them, brentford and palace out of the london clubs.
Know what you mean except to say you clearly didn't see us lose to Palace in the play-off final...

"Always look on the bright side of life..":oops:

Just imagine the vile in Orient's situation.

6 offside goals. All fouls on our great lads as well.

The support of our 40,000 fans was easily worth 7 goals.

How we didn't win that game easily with the players what we've got is ridiculous. Our one man team should have won comfortably on the ballance of play.

How is it possible we lost that one given the number of shirtless morbidly obese heros we had bouncing?

I was chatting to a few Orient fans before the match in the Railway and they were saying they would meet me back there at 10 past 3.

I did actually think they did well for 10 minutes before we totally took over.

Good lads and felt sorry for some real fans who'd made the effort.

But it's our rollercoaster!

:)

Look Leeds just given the final result as Sheff Wed 6 Leyton Orient 0. Not that bad a weekend for them then!

They need to sort themselves out and appoint an experienced English lower league manager because they can't afford to get relegated. It can take a very long time to get out of the Conference.

Poor Orient, I quite like them. Hope they pull themselves out of the relegation scrap. Nevertheless, cracking win for us today. Lets hope we see more view froms like that in the coming weeks.

Agreed, really hope they do not go down.

Been there, Done that.

Remember going to Middlesboro as a cocky teen in the 1980s and getting thumped in much the same way.
Yep. Seeing us lose 6.0 at Ayresome Park was a great way to spend my birthday . Felt sorry for Orient fans today. And not in a patronising way. "Been there, done that" were my exact thoughts too. Didn't detract from my enjoyment of our performance mind ☺ UTB

I wanted Aaron to keep a clean sheet, but in a funny way I wanted them to score so their fans could celebrate. Seemed a bit sad they could only celebrate throw ins and the odd corner. And oh dear, two of those throw ins were foul throws.

As poor as they were today, we really where that good!! Knocking about as well as we have in a long, long time. Utter class, United.

I echo the thoughts about their great supporters today and the humour they showed throughout their team's woeful performance.

However, what really pissed me off (on their behalf) was the fact that at the final whistle, the majority of the Orient players went straight to the tunnel without even acknowledging the tremendous support that turned up for them - absolute wankers.

Cant for the life of me fathom out why they got rid of Kevin Nolan and end up with that buffoon in charge they have now (think someone else was in-between) surely Nolan would have instilled a bit more passion and would have a few contacts to enable a better type of player than the u12s they put out today !
Really enjoyed our performance today and was really pleased we put a strong side out , don't believe in this resting too many players shit . They train to be able to play the games and when confidence is high and you are on a roll like we are , ours much more beneficial to have won 6-0 than won 1-0 or 2-0 having rested 6 or 7 . They only play 90 mins ffs . Well done Chris , well done Blades and well done to the Orient fans who turned up . You deserved better and hopefully it will come very soon ! As ever UTB!!

I'm genuinely sad for the Orient fans and I have an affection for the club (used to watch Orient regularly when I lived in London). They are probably the truest supporters of any of the London teams, are used to frequent disasters (Tony Wood losing his fortune in Rwanda , Barry Hearn, Club for a fiver, Peter Eustace's wagon train, Paul Went, John Sitton) and have no realistic hope of winning anything. But this all pales into insignificance when you compare it to the idiot control freak Italian owner they have now. Respect to them for turning up today and respect for the phlegmatic and sardonic way with which they took a 6-0 defeat by a team without a striker. Shame their team didn't turn up at all.

I just listened to one of their player's interview after the game (Kennedy) and loved the comment on it from their fan-site "He looks like a man who fell into a vat of tits and came out sucking his thumb.". Those supporters deserve better.
