I thought they might mention the ref: "Agent Brown phenomenal for Sheffield."

:)

I thought he was genuinely poor, and I don't often say that. At one point he paced out nine steps for a free kick they were defending. There were plenty of fouls against us not given, including one knee-high scythe that went unpunished.

As is often the case - he was poor for both sides.

Understandable one-eyed frustration from them losing a goal like that though: overrule linesman, we score from the corner.

Not sure what more they expect from our fans? What's wrong with taking over 1800 away for a game that's not overly important. Strange.

That looked a lot more than 1,800 of us there or was it me?

James it's an obsession with fans under the age of 25. Basically, a dick swinging competition. But how any of these fans from shitholes across England, in league 1 can say anything about the support we give week in week out is beyond me. Just under 20K at home on average and 2K away average would be fantastic in the league above never mind this division.

“We all know why Sheff Utd are in the top 6. Referees”

Well now I've heard it all.

“Jesus shed u fans if your best come back is your in Rochdale shadow u got more problem than I thought”

Can anybody help me with this? I've tried Google Translate but it's not come up with any language a half-sentient chimpanzee would recognise as 'communication'.

"Disappointed in the away support, weren’t they quite to say they are up for the playoffs.
in my mind so far, there has only been Swindon I thought were decent.”

Is this one on about the away support as well?? In fact, we made up at least a third of the crowd, but they obsessing about the number of away fans? Perhaps they should ask themselves why not many away fans can be bothered.

And they use the naughtiest word of all too much, though it's about the only one they can spell.

The ref did make some strange decisions, but both ways, Basham was scythed down in the last minute and he waved play on for example. It's unusual to see a ref overrule a linesman like he did for the corner when we scored, but he was closer (and the Oldhm fans can't even agree whether it was or wasn't). He also made strange use of his spray. He'd mark where the ball needed to be, then measure his ten yards, then wait for defenders to work out where they were going to stand, then spray accordingly, almost as though it was a spray foam economy measure. Surely,it just needs to be 10 yards with a bit of an arc?

In the end, we could have taken all three points, and had them pinned back for the last fifteen minutes (apart from when we took a short corner, lost possession and ended up giving away a free-kick on the edge of our box) Doyle hit the inside of the post, plus he ofrced a great save from their keeper (unlike Howard, who has developed a technique of flapping one handed at long range shots (cf v Crewe)

We sold 1,800 before Saturday then there was another 1,000 on gate. So over 2,000 which is very good imo

Oldhams a shit hole, thought about going yesterday but pleased I didnt, need to save up for trip to Wembley along with 30k plus Blades.

For the last few years they seem to have had an irrational "rivalry" with us, despite the fact it's largely one sided and it's just another game to us.

Oldham always show a huge amount of hate towards us. I first started doing this feature when we played Oldham in our first game back in this league. Since then Oldham fans have always been vitriolic against us. I remember when they beat us when we had Ched and they were all saying "Best day ever beating them" and all that stuff. I'm sure many on here will remember it.

I don't know why they hate us so much but alongside Barnsley (Who in fairness have a reason to hate us due to our proximity) they have always been the most bitter fans

2k away fans for, let's face it, a nothing game (we aint going to get top two and even by United's standards even we'd be hard pushed to f*** up getting in the play offs, although I wouldn't all together discount it) is a decent following. Many away day Blades will be prioritising their time and money towards a likely southern trip in the semi finals and hopefully a London trip for the final.

Roy I've noticed it too, I just put it down to Oldham being that close to God's own county but having to settle for being in a total shit hole called Lancyshire.

Poor sod must have had a brain trauma when we got the equaliser, now who has got problems.

“The bald guy from the Sheffield bench needs shooting, quick time. League 1 football isn’t that exciting”

Eh? Bit harsh. What did Garner do?

Can't help but laugh when fans of a little club like Oldham have a go at our away support!

They are (finally) building a fourth stand, yet can't fill the small amount of seating they already have!

There were over 2000 Blades on the day and only 3000 home "fans".

They have the cheek to say that our supporters were quiet, when (apart from the idiot they have banging a drum), they could have been going for a Guinness World Record for sustained silence.

They charge five quid to park on a piece of wasteland next to the ground, which is about as good as the pitch they have.

Every club in League One prays for SUFC not to go up, because we boost their coffers with our support, when Ched was in the team, and we played Bury, they gave us three sides of the ground!

On our way out we were looking at the scores and an Oldham fan asked how Barnsley had got on. Was delighted they'd not won, said he didn't care about any other team as long as they lost. Seemed strange to me

Probably down to Johnson having left to go there

Ipswich fans have an irrational dislike of us too.
