All a bit Meh.

Can see us becoming like them under McCarthy over the next decade or so, solid but uninspiring Championship team.

We’d have probably taken that back in the days of the two Nigel’s though,

I’ll never understand how Ipswich fans see us as the bad guys after their antics all those years ago.

Anyway, getting a bit fed up of seeing us play clubs of the park and not win. On the plus side clubs see getting any kind of result against us as a positive which is a huge step forward considering where we’ve come from.

On the negative, we’re in danger of dropping out of the top six and need to do something about it.

We need leaders in JTW that make sure we don't concede goals at places like this , scrape a 1-0 and come back with the three points. We've conceded that many daft goals, many of them late on, that were easily avoidable with a couple of leaders barking out orders and making sure the other 8 or 9 players are switched on for the duration. Going back to the Rotherham and Leeds games, where were the shouts of 'time' to Norwood (v Rotherham) and 'row X it' to Henderson (v Leeds), that's off the top of my head, there's been plenty of others this season.

Until he buys some leaders then Wilder could do a lot worse than put Jake Wright (assuming he is fit) and Paul Coutts back into the starting XI.

There is also this thing called luck. I know some will say ' you make your own luck ' but that hasn't been my experience, luck happens and it can be crucial.
I remember playing Leicester at the Lane first game of the season a number of years ago and winning 4-0. In no way did we deserve that score, in fact a draw wouldn't have been unfair, we went up that season.
This season we seem to concede almost every time we make a mistake. Mistakes happen to even the best sides but we do seem to pay the price on almost every occasion.

The other problem is that we all know we need a quick consistent striker and we also all know that those are the players that cost the most. Loans are our best bet.

A couple on there want a good twatting other than that you can understand they’re happy with the point , we’re just going through one of those patches again the three games over the holiday period I think could be pivotal
Cheers Roy for the usual good work

I thought that their comments were in the main fine barring 2 or 3 that were a bit OTT... a bit like on this thread TBF.

Fairly sensible comments on the whole, a few idiots but it’s only the same as on here.

Quite
WBA screwed up at least 3-4 times at the back against us (through our pressure) and we failed to punish them.
In that game we made one mistake and that led to the equaliser.
Dominate a game and another mistake leads to a goal conceded. We don't seem to be getting away with owt and we are not punishing the opposition when they screw up.

Youd thinking was a quality thing but then the last mistake was yesterday at Ipswich and we still got punished.

It is highly likely to be a quality issue for us not taking the chances we create when forcing an opposing team into an error. That's why Wilder states we seem to have to be right at it 100% to get a victory. It's rare we get a victory or a result when playing slightly below par.

Why do Ipswich fans hate us? I genuinely have no idea...

Heard Billy on the radio say that he wanted us to hang on for the win at Rotherham because we didn't deserve it and teams that win things tend to do that.

I knew exactly what he meant, we've not had a jammy win this season, every one was deserved. Luck is a fact and unfortunately for us it doesn't even itself out. If it did we'd be European Champions in a couple of seasons after promotion this season. :)
