Not wishing to over-analyse your threads Roygbiv , but that is the first time you've used an exclamation mark in the title of your 'View Froms'. What is the significance in this?!

How can you argue that?

Being pedantic here, without any animosity toward yourself.
Surely that's not "football" but a foot race, or it would be if United had a defender quick enough or in a decent position.
Uhm!! Norwood. Probably he should be more pedantic over his football, though he's not on his own.

For me football involves a whole variety of “kicks”, one of which is a long ball, one of which is a longish diagonal ball.
It is the variety that makes it interesting and also difficult for opposition.
However I prefer to see slick passing, balls PASSED forwards through the opposition defence and crosses delivered early. Simpson to Pace for an old example !
