“Sheffield Utd supporters on Twitter saying Charlton best footballing team they have played this season at Bramble lane. Easy to be magnanimous though when you’re winning & top of the league.”

Easy to be a dick when you are being ungrateful too...

You're crap and you've got a shit manager.

For me the first 20/25 minutes they were overall quicker than us and played well, cut through our midfield/ defence far too easily, however I just new we would come good, I was after around 35 minutes happy to go in at 1-1 at half time, they were never going to keep up there running in the second half, the Holy trinity took control in the second half and they were lucky to eventually lose by one goal.

Charlton have some good technical players and there game plan was to hit us hard at the start worked well and could have been two up,we gradually pushed them back and towards half time we had them on the back foot.
The work rate they showed early on really took us by surprise we did well to survive that examination., once we equalised we gradually turned the game
in our favour and we were the better team by quite some distance from 30 mins onwards.
Great character and battling qualities were very evident today as Wilder in his post match interview eluded too.

The team really want this !! ,big 3 points today against a team who shouldn't be where they are in the league ,again as Wilder said we turn up every match
Charlton obviously don't and that's disgracefully for any proffesional outfit.
If we don't make it now ! There will be a stewards enquiry

22 games in charge. 4 wins, 9 draws and 9 defeats.

That's shit. They brought in Slade after Wilder joined us, and sacked him very early for Robinson. Robinsons record is far worse than Slades.
So their gripe is with the owner? I can see why, seems he hasn't a clue about running a football club. He hired a plonker then replaced him with an even bigger plonker.
But their biggest grip should be with the manager. He's failing in his job, and at a club recently relegated and with some decent players.
Does any think Wilder wouldn't have done a lot better?

Chuffing hell. Blaming Declan Rudd for the second goal is a bit harsh, isn't it? He made a great save and was then helpless as Lafferty hammered in the rebound.

Charlton have a lot of good players but if they don't combine as a functioning team then that's not much cop, is it? Tony Watt, Forster-Caskey and Ricky Holmes are all much better than the average for this division, but they are nowhere in the table so something is going very wrong somewhere. Being brilliant for 10 or 15 minutes isn't enough.

Swindon were shite on Tuesday night but in the second half they tried and tried, and looked like getting a point or, for a while, even three. They beat Charlton 3-0 at the County Ground this season, which, for a team with the amount of talent that Charlton have, is a disgrace. It simply illustrates that no matter how skilful your individuals are, creating a winning side is about instilling character as much as anything else.

We have it; Charlton, at the moment, don't.

Best team we've faced at the Lane this season so they should be in top 6 as Wilder said on Radio Sheff. Holmes looked in charge of things first 30 minutes but then one or two tussles with the Bash seemed to unsettle him. Like us though they need to get some medium range shooting practice under their belts.

They are pissed off as they feel, with some justification, they should be at least a top half Championship side.

But then so should We, Bolton, Coventry and Portsmouth... life's a bitch.
