Up Wilder's sleeve ...

I don't think for one second that Wilder is giving last seasons players first dibbs for the sake of it (see Duffy and Sharp).
He has, and will, pick the best team available to win the next game, with absolutely no sentiment whatsoever. He is an evil, ruthless dictator, bordering on psychotic.
OK I embroidered that a bit, but you get my drift. As soon as the likes of Morrison, Mousset, Besic etc make an outstanding case for inclusion, they will get their chance, as Robinson did with his pre-season performance

Saw Wilder arrive int car park today in a VW Polo, well at least it wernt 51 bus.

Ont subject of the club car park...... Tried to pull in as usual to pick a ticket up for my nephew to go with us tonight. “Sorry mate, car parks full” so I had to find parking on a back street. Walked back to the ticket office and there’s about 25 queuing. Looked round at the full car park and it’s full of cones not cars.

Feck of paying fans, welcome PL cones .

WARNING........ I ordered our tickets online and ticked delivery method box to put them on our season ticket cards. Paper ticket for nephew hadn’t been printed from 2 days ago so I asked her to check that our cards had been activated. NO, FECKIN NO!!!
She could see tickets ordered but not activated OR printed so beware when you try to get in tonight, allow enough time for a saunter round to Cherry Street and to join the pre match queue.

Anyone think that his selection has a wider strategy? IMHO, he's giving last season's team the greater selection on starts, despite there being a sizeable amount of cash sat on the bench. The message is clear - 'you earned the club this position, and the club owes you the chance to prove yourself worthy', which I think is a noble way ahead. Those in the team at the moment, and I think we know the ones particularly in focus, have every chance to move up the giant step and prove themselves, whilst looking over at the multi million pounds sat in the dugout waiting to take their places in an instant. And they know full well that it will be very difficult to get their place back once they've been replaced. That's football.

As the season moves on (and yes, we will take some fucking pastings, but I think we will also surprise some teams who expect three points off us) Wilder and Knill will gradually optimise the team to the best of their abilities and enable us to at least survive with many of the signings we got this time round.

The only thing we can't account for are broken ankles and people going to jail.

I would think our system which is fairly unique is a hard system to play if the new lads have never done anything like it. Wilder is probably holding them back until they are fully up to speed with what is required of them in the team. I would expect a few of those to be pushing realy hard to start games next month, McBurnie and Luke Freeman have already made strong claims for a start at Chelsea.
