I know sometimes there's a pointed exchange between those who prefer vinyl to cd's, but perhaps I just can't be bothered and I'm just happy to listen to decent music regardless of which format it came in. Yes, I too tend to use Amazon for what it offers, especially the used music as this can be almost as good as something that's brand spanking new. Not a month passes without me receiving new music, from all genre's to stuff I'd call predictable.

last month I bought a Northern Soul CD, a 70's New York soul CD and two Johnny Marr CD's for abouy 22 quid in total

My addiction to music began in the very early '60s graf, when of course there was only vinyl (tapes don't count). I lived in Fulham throughout the '60s, travelling until I ended up in downtown Sheffield, kind of predictable really. When I arrived in Sheffield I recall Violet Mays, along with Record Collector (still here I believe). RC was especially good for soul and black american stuff, so I used to spend afternoons there listening and buying. Now it's cds, which my younger friends regard as an aberration of dinosaur proportions, but I don't care, it really is all about the music :)

Violet Mays.

Ummmmm.
