One of my early memories of United is reading in the Star about our pre season tour of Scotland in 1981. I've found this about our defeat against Ayr United, but I can't remember who else we played in the tour?

Ayr United played their one and only game against Sheffield United in a pre-season friendly on 3rd August 1981. The Honest Men emerged as 1-0 victors blunting the blades strike force, a rare occurrence for Ayr in pre-season friendlies. A programme for the match was produce.
