Good report. Sat in Westfield corner virtually bang behind ccv challenge. Thought it was a pen all day long. Pulled the lad back when he'd got round him.

Irrelevant anyhow as they missed it.

I was on the Westfield corner too and that was how I saw it at the time, although a split second before CCV had got away with a strong appeal for a handball, and with the ref then itching to give a pen CCV really needed to keep his arms down (the Wolves player was going away from goal too).

I've seen the highlights since and on the second viewing it does look a bit of a soft decision from the ref. After the earlier shout for handball, an experienced defender in that situation would have made sure he kept his hands off the forward.

Fair dues Woody, however nobody can convince me that was a penalty, it was silly only in the fact that the ref gave it. Like you say he is young ,learning and to be fair wouldn't be starting if Stearman was fit, but plenty more performances from him like last night and I will be happy

It was a modern day penalty and 25 years ago would not have been noticed.

Wolves could and should have scored 2 goals from the lad's errors last night and that would have changed the game. If he improves, as he surely will and if he signs for us next summer all will be well!!
