I wont make it today so looking forward to your reports. At the moment who plays is very interesting after watching the new signings last week at the Lane. Next week back at the Lane against Milwall

Disappointing result from a game we bossed in the first half
Coventry fan asked me if we've still got the Cricket Pitch at BDTBL
Self inflicted goals I believe
Drop to Third in the table
Could be further as some games started at 7pm
Nice beer though
All on my Blog Report

Ball_Sup (Phil) - I like reading your blog reports, the beer reviews as much as the match reports. I've been trying to work it out for ages, and maybe it's just the Blogger software adding them automatically - what are the numbers at the bottom of the text? Latest combination was:

529/1119
21

Go on, put me out of my misery - what are they for?

I like the beer part as well!

Good report as usual but just to say Callum Semple should be back towards the end of November from what I know, after his ACL injury.

Also heard our Jake Wright jnr may have a serious injury, not sure what but got it on Saturday against Telford.

Those numbers are "a conceit".
The 21 is a count of how many SUFC games I've been to in the season. All ages, all competitions, all teams. I've started putting that count near the top of each SUFC post now. It's my Big Blade Conceit.
The big number (1119) is basically how many days since I first blogged from a live game. 22 July 2014 - Northampton away in a pre season friendly.
The smaller number (529) is how many live football, cricket, rugby (both codes) (and very occasionally horse racing & athletics) events I've blogged from in that time.
Don't think bad of me - I just wanted to know how often I go to "games" over a sustained period. Just under every other day....
(Numbers not included in the Blog).... I average 23.78 alcohol units per week. 28.68% of my days are alcohol free. On days that I do drink, I average 4.76 units.

You did ask.....

Phil

I don't think bad of you at all. I love a good conceit, and those three are corkers.

The story goes that Plum Warner, grand old man of English cricket, kept a ledger recording the name of every pub he'd ever taken a drink in, and what he'd had. I'm sure that sounds pointless to most, but I wish I'd done it; I'd love to have a record like that to look back on.

Keep blogging.

Thanks Phil. Fine report as usual. Having watched us for years our high tempo game means we run out of steam after an hour. It is not a fitness thing rather a pacing thing We have a high energy midfield but in the later stages, as they tire, puts pressure on the back line and they get a bit flustered we have previously blessed with an experienced keeper who has kept us together and when we have three keepers fit I expect the third choice to play at 23. And Hallam keeps scoring
