A girl who is ill with a brain tumour at the childrens hospital apparently not got long to live.

Sad news.

fair play to him then really. I know he's a pig and what have you but it's a pretty nice gesture. Although he got booked for it though, so maybe not the smartest. Plus he's ruined one of his ASDA vests, soft lad.

Regardless, he's still a pig! Why wasn't he booked for taking his shirt off?

pig or not it would be totally heartless to book him for a kind gesture for a sick girl.

I know its a derby but hell that puts things in prospective.
my heart goes out to her and her parents

He wasn't booked - as I said in another thread, Wiley ignored Tudgay and booked Bunn instead...

O'Connor was the only Pig booking against our 6.

True, according to every report I've seen.

The rules state removing your shirt is a bookable offence - so what if it was to show wording for someone in hospital. Rules are rules!

He certainly was booked, the ref showed him the card at the half way line... before we kicked back off.

So why do all the reports only say that O'Connor was booked?

No idea, but I remember vividly the referee showing the card to Tudgay.

Didn't see him write the name down, but he showed him the card.

As mentioned in another thread I saw it too. He did book Tudgay. We are better than journalists :D

Probably for the same reason that reporters attribute various goal efforts etc incorrectly. They miss things just like we do.

I gathered it was for someone for the right reasons.

But why 'Danny' if it was a girl? i presume its an odd take on someone called Danielle?

I don't mind anything like that, even from a grunter who has our bloody lives in derby games, at least it wasnt some self loving toss.

On a slight aside: I think Wilie thought it was xmas the way he was dishing out cards to United players. Some of it was farical. He booked Davies for a good tackle, Henderson just stood his ground and got booked. Ridiculous. If a United player had have done what O'Conner did (2 hurrendous tackles in the space of 5 seconds) then he would probably have walked!?

I must say if Tudgay wasn't a Pig I think we'd all be ranting and raving about him, and suggesting him as a new striker. I certainly would be. I think he's a great player. Forget their other goal which was just hit and hope, his was the best of the night from a technical point of view.

The way he turned down Burnley to stay at Wednesday is something which you don't see much nowadays.

Great gesture by him too. Although he should have told the referee what he was going to do before the game (if he scored of course) as I believe Halford did and didn't get booked.

Halford didn't remove his shirt though, he simply lifted it up.

I'll add my weight to the "Tudgay was booked" force too... I'm sure I got a piccy of it.

Ah now, Buxton's was unstoppable! Beautifully placed, bullet header.

Totally agree, they were talking around 2 million for Tudgay and we ended up paying 3 Million (and probably much higher wages) for Ched.

I like Ched, but I think we like to buy from the PL as we think that those players can offer more.

Tudgay is often inconsistent, but that can come with a player of a better standard playing for a sh*te team. He looked a class above their players and you could tell that he could see things that their other players couldn't.

Why did you put that information up Bladesman ?
I doubted it at the time which is why I didn't comment , Danny is actually a 29 year old friend of Tudpigs brother wha has had an accident.
