This wasn't a decision taken in the immediate aftermath of Tuesday. The players have been against him since Stevenage, Wilson saw this and wanted to resign however McCabe persuaded him to take us until the end if the season. However Wilson had plenty enough after Crawley and walked, he told the players after (reason why late out) but persuaded to 'sleep on it' by the board. He simply felt he couldn't take us any further at this moment of time due to numerous factors mainly financial.

P.s is it possible to change my name?

So is this just your summary of what might have happened WW....or are you an itker?

.
That isn't true mate .wilson asked players why they couldn't perform at home and left no indication he was leaving ,I spoke to a player last night and he was gutted he had gone all players liked d.w

I often wonder, half seriously, if a number of the players are intimidated by playing in front of a big crowd and are happier playing away in front of 4 or 5 thousand with less pressure and less expectation. Not checked the figures, but our home gates are probably larger than most of our players have been used to at previous clubs.

I also wonder, not seriously at all of course, if many of these players know if we get promoted they are not good enough for a successful campaign in the Championship and will either wind up in a relegation battle (though not sure how much of a battle the current team would put up), the reserves or at another club back in the 3rd tier, probably on less money than they earn now. Before anyone shouts, I don't actually believe we have players who don't want promotion, just a theory I have to try and explain the performances lately.

The tuesday night lock in wilson called 5 senior players into his office including robson ,kitson ,Collins don't know the other two but it kicked off between wilson and robson in which Morgan had to intervene can't say much more .

If you are seriously in the know then somethings should not come out in the open.

I know alot about the Robson appointment but keep it to myself because it is the clubs business not mine.

If they were the "Senior" players I'd imagine the other two were Doyle and Higginbotham.

This doesn't sound good at all. Given Robson didn't start and has been missing in recent games I wonder whether his beef is personal or team-related ?

What's done is done, we can't change it but division in the players at this stage isn't good. However, Robson may have been the only one willing to put forward something controversial.

I think Morgs is actually the only one now left that can unite them

you ought to post what you know about that really. that was where a lot of fans feel the decline started. im sure plenty would feel it was 'their' business as paying customers/loyal fans?? come on, spill!!

I heard a rumour that Wilson and Collins nearly came to blows after the Crawley debacle.

It would be unfair on the person who told me - simple as that.
Some things are told to you in life because your someone's friend not so you can gossip.

Sorry guys.

Was it that he was only chosen because Ronald McDonald had already been spoken for?

Too may chiefs. I have been saying it all season that this would end badly. You can't empower 5 out of 11 players.

As a general point of principle I agree with that but there is evidence of that approach working. Hughton's Newcastle in the Championship, Di Matteo's Chelsea in the Champions League.

I was worried about the influence and seemingly preferential treatment in terms of selection enjoyed by Kitson, Robson, McMahon and maybe Doyle (although at least, as captain, there is some justification with him). I was surprised and dismayed when Wilson said that Kitson had been given a free role as he was experienced enough to know where to be on the pitch to best suit the team. Surely that doesn't work for a target man in the same way it would for a playmaker for example.

It's been interesting to see McDonald demanding substitutions in at least 2 games recently. Part of the clique (if one does exist) or the only one with the bollocks to stand up to them?

Sad if player power has forced Wilson out, didn't he suffer similarly at the theatre of rust with Carbone and Di Canio?

One telling point for me is when Kitson said before the Donny away game that he liked playing for Wilson because he knew how to treat the old pro's because they don't need to be told when they played badly. This attitude is what killed Wilson

So you're bullshitting? At least I hope so. If you were that honourable you wouldn't have mentioned it in the first place and if you're someones friend you don't go dropping hints on a message board.
