Great way to celebrate our return to the Championship after 6 years.

Great atmosphere, brilliant noise generated and intimidating for them at times.

Rode our luck a bit with their atrocious finishing but a strong, battling performance, and with them being a top ten side in the league, shows us we have nothing to fear.

Stonking debut for the young goalie too, kept us in the game towards the end.

It's good to be back!

I predicted 2-2 before the game and I reckon it represented that sort of game. We hit the woodwork, they did, we had 2 goals disallowed, one shouldn't have been.
I think it's a great opening start and we now know this league is a big step up.

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention the atmosphere, absolutely rocking, reminded me of those memorable games against Pigs, Forest, Arsenal, Charlton, over the years.

It's been on SSN it was off but very slightly, Clarkes looked on to me at the match

Fantastic start to the season. Clarke, Bash, Blackman and JOC all immense. Stevens and Stearman both looked good as did Carruthers.

Bramall Lane is back big time. Finally for the first time since relegation from the Prem, we're not the overdogs, if there is such a word.

The game reflected this and was a great game of football with two teams going for it and playing the right way.

Top stuff, and that was just* brentford....

*fancy they'll be one of the better teams we'll see at the lane this season.

Chris and other coaches talk about players not leaving anything on the pitch and we certainly didn't to a man, in fact I think Bash took a bit of the pitch home with him.

A lot of games will be similar to today, we will win some, lose some, draw some.

We did not look out of our depth against a side who I think will challenge for a place in the playoffs.

How come blades can see every flaw in our game but are blind to other teams flaws .Saw a lot better finishing by some league one clubs ,far better than Brentfords. All teams have areas where they can improve .even us. I said before the game I thought Brentford were a real threat in this division they have some very comfortable on the ball players, and that I'd be overjoyed with a win
