I was fancying going by train but not sure whether I would be able to make last train back to Sheffield, it leaves at 10:25. Not been to London for a night match by train, normally do one of the coaches. Anyone know whether it would be possible to get across London to St Pancras without leaving game to early?

I don't like your odds. Depends how fast you are I think!

If you got to White Hart Lane station and managed to get on the 21:47, you'd make it easily. If you got on that train though.

Unlikely to be honest. It is just that little bit too far

If you can sprint the mile and a half down seven sisters road in 10 minutes and be there by about 10 past 10 at the latest you're golden....

12 of us are leaving Doncaster at 1.46 to Kings Cross, last train back from Kings Cross is 11:30 so no problems. 7 Sisters is only 3 stops up the Victoria Line but a good walk to ground. It is 10-minuted on tube and trains run every 4-minutes. The walk is similar as from our away end to our train station. So to be honest you should make it back to Saint pancake.
11 of our 12 are from sheffield and are driving to donny and leaving cars.

Tottenham Hale is station after 7 sisters and slightly nearer ground, or you could get underground to Liverpool street then overground to station next to ground but don't know times are regularity of those plus it is messing about a bit.

It is slightly nearer but the shortest route from the ground to tottenham hale is down a load of backstreets. Not good if you're in a rush and don't know the area.

Any other Barnsley based Blades on the 23:30 back to Donny? Think it's about £25 for a taxi so be good if anyone wants to share one.

Depends how lardy frechyblade is :)

More Higden than Scoogs Highbury! ;)

Leave ground at 21.40.

Brisk walk for the 21.53 Northumberland Park to Tottenham Hale. Then tube to Kings X. Gets in at 22.16.

Gives you 9 mins to get to your train...... no idea if that is doable - probably can be done.

From 2010 (but you need it in reverse).

King's Cross Nightmare 1: mainline station → Victoria Line

It used to be simple. You alighted from your train down from Peterborough, Edinburgh or wherever, and an entrance on the main concourse directed you down to the ticket hall at the top of the Victoria line escalators. Not any more. That entrance has been filled in and replaced by seating, and a new entrance opened up in a wall to the west. Come this way, it beckons, seductively. And then at the foot of the stairs there's this illuminated sign, installed by utter bastard sadists. Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan lines to the left, and Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines to the right. So you turn to the right, because you trust signs like this. Big mistake.

Start the clock... 0:00 A terribly long corridor stretches off in front of you, eventually leading to the the new Northern ticket hall 0:40. Double back through the barriers 1:00 and down the escalator, then turn left along a long and winding tubular passageway 1:30. After a while 2:30 you'll reach the turnoff for the Piccadilly line but you're not going that way, you're carrying on. At the end of the tunnel 3:45 turn right down the last set of steps and you'll finally be on the Victoria line platforms 4:00. Four minutes in total, and that's the fastest I can do it as an able-bodied pedestrian unencumbered by luggage. Most people take longer, and elderly passengers with suitcases take so long you almost want to hug them at the end and say well done. What you should have done, of course, is to have ignored that evil sign and turned left 0:00. You'd soon have reached the top of the old escalator 0:30, headed down to the passageway below 1:00 and been on the Victoria line platform soon afterwards 1:30. It takes far less time, and requires considerably less physical effort. But no, the bastards send the unwary to the right, on a journey almost three times longer than necessary.

Agreed and have been doing this regularly but quite often the "short cut" is blocked off and you have to go the long way (especially at rush hour).

Driving, so thinking of maybe parking near Cheshunt/Cockfosters and tube/overground towards White Hart Lane.

Somebody has posted elsewhere that the club are doing the coach tickets at £10.
Not seen it myself but surely that's good value if you live in Sheffield or above.

I could be wrong but I think the 10.30 to Sheffield doesn't get in until something like 1.50pm, stopping everywhere. If you were going to get a taxi from WH Lane to St Pancras to get that train, you may be wiser to get tube and take the 11.30 Donny train, which will still get to Donny before the 10.30 Sheffield train arrives in Sheffield. A cab from Donny wouldn't be too expensive between four people.

Apparently from 7 sisters I've been told that about every 8 minutes you can get the overground to White Hart Lane overground station next to the ground, if so i imagine that theres a crush to get on after game. is this so Highbury.
Also whats the walk from 7 sisters to ground like. Overtime I've been I've either drove or been on bus so first time at this ground on train.

I am thinking about the late train to Nottingham I live at dronfield so I know I can do Nottingham station to home in about 35 mins at that time of night.

Coach travel from lane is 10 pound but goes at 1pm (god knows why) when it's. 7.45 kick off. If it takes that long to get down there, what time are they going to get back

The coach to Port Vale left at 10am too, they must have got there at 12pm at the latest. Do they take the fans to a timeshare presentation before the match?
