The pigs tell me that Spurr has rejected a new contract and is leaving the pigs. Apparenrtly he had a shocked last year however he is a left back (tick) and highly thought of. Half a season for a young player under Megson is enough time to kill a mans career. Is this too close to the Wilson appointment to be a considered signing for us?

Unsure about Spurr but we need to start getting some players in for the new season otherwise we are going to get the same old Blackwell excuses:

"There's always the loan window"
"Contracts don't end until July 1st" etc etc

Watch us only able to field a match day squad of 14 or something on the first game of the season.

Have we appointed an Assistant to Wilson yet? Given the fact that Adams needed Uncle Dave to hold his hand as well as the best striker coach in the galaxy - surely this should be a priority too?

GET ON WITH IT

I would take Spurr. He's always looked one of their better players when I've seen them. He would do a job for us but would be brave to make that move!

Is he good enough? YES

Then sign him. Doesnt matter where he is from just if he is good enough. If they had Messi would we want him (hell yeah)
That is/was my problem with DW at this moment in time his record isnt good enough to warrant being Mccabes first choice.

Wasn't he highly rated at one point. Thought a big move was on for him at one point. I would take him over Andy Taylor at the moment but only really seen him when we have played the pigs.
