From the Academy - (1st team carpark)

Who would have the audacity to drive around in a matte-black lamborghini gallardo with a personalised number plate ending in "JBS"?

The last Lambo driver here had slightly less style - preferring chicken-yellow as a choice of colour (his initials almost fit, though ;)).

Ideas please, chaps and chapettes!

It's mine, I'd just been to the gym at the Copthorne. Sorry if it offended you, next time I'll make sure I only take the fourby.. ;)

I wanted a personalised plate for my last car but found it was cheaper to change my name, by deed poll, to T 631 JVW

i heard it was matt grey

Definitely black. Could look grey (because of the finish) in certain light.

How's he afforded that? Even Killa who signed on Prem wages is "only" driving around in an Overfinch Range Rover. What's that, about £70k - £80k? (I'm only guessing) but the Lambo retails at £115k for someone who's only ever played for Leicester, Watford, Derby and us!

theyre about 55 grand second hand AFAIK.. a bloke at work was looking at one.. the matt black one is the business :p

Bet they all grew up dreaming of being the next U-Roy Of The Rovers.

I can't top that. The image of U-Roy playing for Melchester Rovers is too powerful... this Soca player is the best I can manage ...

Thought they held their price a lot better than that but only guessing. Still, flash bastard!

That's probably only a years wages for him. He's 27 and as far as I'm aware isn't married with a young family. He's been playing professional football for 8 years. It's not unfathomable that he has bought an expensive car.

If he's on the average championship wage, he would be on around £250K a year, given that he has generally paid for the "bigger" 2nd tier clubs (Leicester, Derby, United), I reckon he has probably been on concistently more than that.

Incidentally, wasn't Stewart the guy who played for Leicester at the Lane in April 03 in the game we won 2-1 to seal our play off place, and who set up Leicester's goal (scored by Deano) by rampaging down the left wing and laying out two United players with his elbow (Shaun Murphy being one of them), but who was allowed to carry on by the ref?

I think you'll find that was Trevor (Elbows) Benjamin.

Just compared to other cars in the car park, no-one has been that flash since James Beattie. Nowhere near.
