Time's up Billy

Yes, because out of a side containing Basham and Egan and a midfield that was placed there for mere decorative purposes, the forward who got an assist is definitely the one who deserves a thread...
Agree. Until the manager realised 20 mins after everyone else we were going to get battered with a back 4 and reverted to normal. Shame he didn'tget the message to Wes to stop giving the ball to RND who gave it to Ozzy, both of whom were pressed hard before we conceded 2 ridiculous goals as a consequence.

So, he set out first up after setting up a disallowed goal, tested the keeper first half which someone should be following in on and we were 2-0 and you're singling him out as has it?

I think he is on his way out but he's about 5 times more effective than Brewster at running the line.

Sadly today was another example of Old Father Time claiming another.
Hes an impact sub at best now unfortunately, but hes not the only player that should start on the bench.

Didn't think Sharp was that bad BUT thought we looked miles better in attack when Brewster and McBurnie came on.

Don't agree we scored two with Sharp upfront on his own and had another disallowed for offside

Plus if sharp steps up for the penalty you're 90% certain he will score, if its brewster or mcburnie its 90% that they will miss

Easy to say thst he assisted therefore nothing wrong but Billy hasn't done anything so far when he's played.

In contrast, Brewster played and scored last week and McBurnie was on a run of 5 from 7.

No idea how he managed to leapfrog those two.

Sort of call Warnock used to make when Sharon had a dream!

hes a yard of the pace and i dont understand how he started ahead of mcburnie against a team that were from the land of the giants, for me hes (now) a sub to come on 20 minutes from end but i dont think hes need putting down yet as he offers a lot its just hes not as quick as he was

McBurnie playing with an injury again.

We’ve spent 50 million ish on strikers. Relying on Billy Sharp shouldn’t be the answer. Build the statue, but he shouldn’t be starting with the amount we’ve paid on others.

Not Billy’s fault. Not good enough to start, not the answer. Blind loyalty isn’t going to help us.

And to be fair that demonstrates the problem we currently have. From the starting line up today, Baldock, Basham, Osborn McAtee and Sharp would all be on the bench if all of the others were back from injury and/or not carrying knocks. That’s half of the current starting 11 (or outfield 10, I should say)
