I purchased 5 tickets to take my son and grandkids to the Hull game and have just rang the ticket office for a refund. These were all purchased in one transaction but was charged five separate admin charges (as discussed previously on here and I reluctantly accept) however I was disappointed, to say the least, that on requesting a refund the admin charge will not be refunded even though I am cancelling through no fault of my own. Disgusted, or am I overreacting ?

I’d be interested in the legality of it. If they cancel an event, I would expect them to have to refund whatever they’ve charged you. Some may suck it up as it’s United, but what would they reaction be if Ticketmaster did this?

I had to cancel a Ryanair flight last year and even got admin refunded from them which says summat.

Its hardly treating customers fairly is it? Might not amount to much but in instances like this it's the principle. I wouldnt be disgusted but I would certainly be a little disgruntled about it myself, United or not.

Think that happened to me as well for a previous match - it looks like its the ticket office who are not applying their own rules so get the admin fee refunded as well !!

They might have to shell out for previous if someone points it out although as a fan I'd just point it out for the next one. My son bought my ticket for me for tonight's postponed game and is getting a refund.....

I'm a bit pissed off, cos I'm guessing the replays will be midweek, and I wont be able to make them if so, which is a bit wank.

It’s a cunts trick, you should get all the money back. When you buy a ticket everything included in the price should be involved and that’s the final figure, adding something on afterwards like admin when it should’ve already been accounted for in the final figure of the ticket is petty as fuck. Hope that covers it mate.
