It sounds like we know they're not developing quickly enough so it's now or never for them. Which would tie in with the comments at the fans' forum.

What it means is that they have until Christmas in the first team and if we're top there'll be money for strengthening the squad - if not they'll see out the season as first team players. This is reprofiling the Blades way.

Mind you if they get a hattrick each then I don't mind if they are first tean all season.

The thing about youngsters is you'll never know how good they can be unless you play them. Some take first team football in their stride; others can't handle it.

Often it's the 'average' ones that improve the most and the gifted ones that fail - which probably means that mental strength has a huge part to play. If you get a naturally gifted player with great mental strength and determination then you are on to a real winner. One problem for a naturally gifted player is that he has had it relatively easy all through his young career and until he gets into the higher levels he's never learned how to graft and deal with adversity.

Absolutely nothing to lose in starting all three of these lads imo.
I think you've either got it or you haven't, so, it should be pretty evident early on whether these lads can handle themselves at professional level.
I really hope they do well as it's always good to see young academy lads coming through.
