Just curious to know what you Blades fans think of him? I personally think he has all the makings of a top quality left-back and it was great to see him play in what I consider his best position. He can be effective as a winger but I think he should play as an attacking full-back in the future, like a left-footed Matt Lowton. It's a shame that you play 4-4-2 as it's harder to get the best out of full-backs going forward in such a rigid formation.

I've always got my eye on the young players coming through your great club and he looks to be one with a big future if he gets to play at left-back. It goes without saying that George Long is a superb talent, too. If Terry Kennedy can avoid any bad injuries I think he can become a very good centre-back for you also.

Is JonH a pseudonym for Kyle ?

Have you been rumbled feller?

Still at Crawley?

Doesn't McFadzean play Left Back for England U19's?

No, he's not played for the U19s yet as far as I know. He played for the England U16s at left back but since moving into our U18s he's been mainly used further forward.

I think he should be starting on the left, with Murphy being pushed further forward.

typical of us to play him in bloody midfield then when we are short of a decent left back.. this is f**king astonishing news..what a shambles
on reflection perhaps it isn't

In my opinion he is a much better left sided midfield player than left back. As we don't have a suitable partner for Kitson / Porter, I'd go with pushing Murphy further up - it's worth a try.

As I said on another thread Callum being caught the wrong side of his winger lead to the goal last night. It's all part of the learning curve but I'd prefer to see his energy in midfield at the moment.

True that Callum allowed their winger to get in behind him, but he did recover and then forced him to cut inside.

I'd say that we were in a decent position to deal with the situation, although Doyle is too easily sidestepped, and there is no help from our right midfielder. At the time it is Forte who is down there, did he play right midfield at the time or did he sort of fill in for Robson (who could be seen chasing the long pass a bit earlier)?

I reckon he has the making of a decent player so himself, Ironside, Whitehouse and Kennedy should be in the starting eleven now

I haven't seen it back but that is the spirit of Callum to get back in there, I'm a big fan so I am reluctant to criticise him too much.

I can't remember if Forte or Robson were out on the right at that point but Forte isn't good at tackling in midfield and Robson as much as he harries is often miles away from being able to make a tackle.

It's our achilles heel, the ability to get tight and tackle. Every side we play against knows this and knows how to exploit it.

I can't see it being fixed in time either. Personally I would consider putting Elliott Whitehouse in there and using a 5 man midfield depending on circumstances. We need to start scoring first though and scoring is our other problem area.

Six goals in our last 10 games - not good enough.

i wonder what odds there are on us not scoring for the rest of the season?

I'd start Callum on the left wing, then again, I'd have started the season with him on the left wing if you look back at my posts :)

Yep, with you on this. He' be an established player by now and more than likely we'd have turned some of those home draws into wins.
