Thought he moved his arms far too late and George Long would have blocked the shot. It happened at the other side of the pitch. Anyone agree?

Yes, looked that way from a long way away.

Unfortunately I will feel compelled to watch again and judge based on that.

Yes definitely. I was in the main stand and, although a good strike, it didn't look to be in the top corner or anything.

It was straight at him from 20 yards. Dreadful, dreadful error and, I think, it was the main reason we lost today.

If he stood up straight, arms down by the side, it would have hit him in the kisser

Credit the scorer instead of blaming the keeper. It was a good goal.

Good power but the accuracy wasnt that good as it seemed the keeper had it covered. I didnt realise that the Football League show isnt on tonight and I missed the Goals today on SSN (started at 8pm but the goals were already showed when I switched over at 8.10pm). Will have to see the goals again

It looked a cracking shot to me, but people round us thought he should have saved it. Anyone seen it on a replay yet?

I thought it went straight through him but they never mentioned it on the radio.

All 3 goals had an element of poor defending about it and I'm afraid is totally uncceptable

McMahon is a liability
Harry for whatever reason is dropping a bollock a game
Howard gets his chance and f'ks up

Add the above to the toothless attack and it shows we have big problems

Saw the goals on SSN. Howard dived underneath the shot and bent his knees rather than straightening them and his arms were too late to stop the shot properly. I remember Peter Shilton saying that he tried to do something spetacular when dealing with Domarski's shot which ended in Poland's opener in the 1973 England v Poland game (I was there). He said he knew he had the shot covered but decided to trying to scoop the ball rather than going down quickly to put his body behind the shot and he has regretted his decision. I rate keepers like Pat Jennings who make difficult saves look easy rather than keepers like Bruce Grobbelaar who makes easy saves look difficult. Howard did OK until RovRum's goal and I think he was trying to make the save look spectacular. I hope if Long is called up by the England u21s againwe will have the league game postponed

Yes he was bending his knees but I think he misjudged the flight of the ball, I doubt it was about trying to look good.

A mistake but Hill didn't move and Doyle didn't get close enough. A bad goal all round although well hit by Agard

George will be back next week.

Personally I would like to see George Willis as the understudy, he's good enough and good enough now

Looks like he should have saved it to me

Thought howard did well to get out of the way of that , straight at him
Some of the defending on there is embarrassing .how do professional footballers get so bad even if they are not being coached at all they could at least try to close the ball down

All 3 goals are shit and would have been stopped by a sunday league defence

Can't really judge on that angle, it could have taken a swerve or, as it looks to me in his final position, he looks out of position waiting for a possible cross and has got caught out.

The second is the worst of them all, how many defenders do we need to stop L1 attacks? 5? 6? still, can't stop him turning and getting in on goal and then getting the penalty. Third just looks like we'd given up.

the highlights don't give full testament to how shit we really were for that goal.

Does anybody think their 'keeper should have saved Baxter's shot? It was hardly a rocket, it just trickled by him.

I bet their keeper does. That said, there's no way he would have expected Baxter to shoot from there - great play from him.

At the game it looked a cracking shot. Having seen the video I think it was weak keeping. I wasn't impressed at all with Howard on Saturday. Then again nine of them really covered themselves in glory from the manager down.

He's put Howard in so hope he gets a fair run of games ....any goalie would struggle behind that back four ...chin up eh we are sh*te
