Fergies Man Utd and Wengers Arsenal back in the day.

Leeds are the lightning fast, stylish continental attacking unit.

We’re the under rated team unit with an experienced and versatile manager that gets results and is capable of playing much better attacking football than people give them credit for.

We might have been relying more on our Nicky butts and Phil Neville’s (peck, mccallum, gilchrist) for certain parts of the season, but our first team is still packed with quality and now we’ve no longer got a points deduction or a lack of signings in the summer holding us back.

We’ll do em

Best thing that could have happened today happened, we increased our points gap over Burnley before a big game against Leeds.

They might have got another clean sheet against a tough to beat Preston side, but that's another game where they haven't scored which should concern them.

It concerns me, but I'm not sure if it concerns Parker.

I bet we wouldn't have beaten Luton today. Parker wouldn't have changed things round to chase a victory. If it's 0-0, however poor the opposition, he will not change the system because he doesn't want to lose.

Since we beat you at the back end of last year, we have kept a further 10 clean sheets in 10 games. Sheffield United have kept only 3 in 10. And yet, we have 18 points in those games, Sheffield have 22.

2 points per game will get you promotion.

Excellent post. Very well thought out.

I was going to say the same.

Parker seems happy how things are going and so proud of not conceding and looking like the better side.

Someone needs to ring the alarm bells and tell him his team have dropped another 2 points.

In a strange way, I think that Burnley’s extraordinary defensive record risks becoming a millstone around their necks. Their desire to preserve the run of clean sheets seems to be clearly inhibiting their ability to score, and they won’t get promoted by drawing matches. Long may it continue.

Wilder is both experienced and versatile but again v Luton, like Pompey he got the starting 11 very wrong.

We don't play very attacking football either.

Still top of the league though so I will take it!

I was thinking of the Man U, Newcastle title battle in 96.

Just need Wilder to come out in presser and say "I will love it if we beat them, love it!"

(Sadly Wilders become a bit passive in his age, more likely get him talking about how amazing Leeds are)

Or maybe Wilder's maturity has brought the wisdom of the affects of reverse psychology.
How much pressure living up to perceived expectations can put on the opposition.

Yeah, but don't you think it's more like the 1990? promotion race with Leeds and Newcastle and ourselves
