Seen as though so many Blades don't mind taking their shoes off anyway, April 10th's "One Day Without Shoes" shouldn't be too much trouble.

It is a day to raise the awareness of how many people, especially children, throughout the world don't have the simple luxury we all take for granted. A pair of shoes.

I will be taking part in it, hope a few more off here will join in.

This will go down a treat at work with our insurers. It's interesting how many of those listed that are taking part are "lesser" actors (all of them) rather than people with proper jobs who can't really wander around shoeless all day. Unless of course you can now get steel toecapped socks.

I personally don't have to wear steel toecapped boots but there's no way I'd go to work barefoot. I appreciate the sentiment, but it's not very practical, apart from for shit Yank actors nobody has heard of.

And posting this in the General Blades Chat section is clutching at straws. Or shoes.

Then there's the possibility that some people in some parts of the world prefer not to wear shoes, or at best use a pair of sandals made from old car tyres. Western type shoes can be uncomfortable if you're not used to them.
