Last night I went to bed and could not sleep, however not through the actions of myself(for once)

Take away football and the pigs reaction to us, ths is not about football. Quite simply one man has been convicted of rape and we are not to blame. Our only crime was to back a man who was innocent until yesterday. This is only one mans fault irrelevant of whether it was a safe conviction or not.

This is not your shame and not the shame of the players in tat hotel righ now wondering what the reaction will be. Let's be loud and proud because thy need us to stand behind them

This is not our fault...

Not the best night of sleep for me either. I'm just glad we're playing MK Dons today, a set of fans who are not exactly steeped in a tradition of nastiness (or any tradition at all). Heaven forbid what it would be like if we were up against Barnsley, Leeds or (shiver) that lot from across the city. Be quite a strange atmosphere today.

What I cant understand is if she was seen to be too drunk before she got to the room. Ched would not have seen that as he arrived later. How can they convict him beyond reasonable doubt?

The jury chose not to believe his version of events and say that he did it. Yes it means he is a convicted rapist but innocent people have been convicted for crimes they did not commit. Lets not be so quick to hang him out to dry. The pigs can say what they want. They wouldnt have been bothered if he only had 5 goals this season instead of 35.

The fans will back the team.

Just what I was thinking. When I told the missus about the verdict she said "That should make for some interesting songs tomorrow" Not from MK Dons and their 29 fans.

I had a quick look on the MK Dons forum to have a look what they had to say and they said they have only been outplayed once this season and that was at Bramall Lane. Also, they said they're slightly concerned about if the Ched verdict will fire us up more than demoralise us, they aren't that confident. They started a thread saying Ched Evans songs on thursday but since he has been convicted, they said there's no point in the thread anymore which suggests to me that we're not going to hear a lot from them about the events of yesterday. Personally, I think we'll be fired up today, I have faith in Wilson that he has prepared us for this. Lets hope it's a promotion party.

It's not the first time something Blades related has caused my insomnia. Football Support really can be an illness. Hopefully I'll catch some zed on the way down. Look forward to seeing you both in The Harp later. Simon.

Agree wholeheartedy with this. The media are going to be all over this game so to all those going show everyone our support for the team and manager, get the 3 points and give us something to cheer about.

Years ago I used to sit next to a bloke in the South Stand who had a favourite saying about certain players: "He's got a touch like a rapist". I'm still not quite sure what he meant.

However, when it came to Adie Littlejohn, he changed his tune. "He's got a kick like a wildebeest" was his verdict.

There's no question about it. Our job is to shout and sing 'til we're hoarse in support of our team and club today and for the rest of the season.

I woke around 1am (been my story all week checking trial updates) oz time and found out the news, i was devastated and couldn't get back to sleep at all. I had the image in my mind of him sat in the dock, crying hysterically when he heard Mcdonald's acquittal and obviously thinking he'd receive the same. Not to be of course, hence the next 'shock' reaction.

Who knows what really happened. Evidence suggests it probably shouldn't have been a unanimous verdict and i'm still very f kng angry with the judge's pre-prepared delivery and how he raised the facts of her drunkeness and inability to consent........ but only for 1? Very very angry about it, both the situation he put himself in and the possible injustice. I don't really give a shit about the score tonight. I might care about Stevenage next week, I might not.

after reading the judges comments i came to the conclusion that he may well have said 'we . .the establishment have been after one of you high profile footballers for some time to make an example of and you sir.. are it'
