Yes it was only massive investment that has taken us to the Prem.

Chris Wilder would never achieve anything without a huge bank roll behind him.

We need to spend £ 100 million on players and another £ 100 million on wages next year to show our true position.

Worked out well for Fulham.

Love how people are using Fulham as the example now. It didn’t work out for Fulham so we would be stupid to spend more than a fiver.

How about the rest that spent big and did well? Manchester city become title contenders through just good management or by spending lots and lots of cash?

Let’s not pretend there’s no advantage to having a good transfer kitty. Or pretend that Wilder wouldn’t want it.

Chris has stated that he would never put the club in danger.

Just because some think that an Iphone X plus makes a better phone call than other phones, or that a Lamborghini is superior to a Honda Civic.

You can have your Jack Grealish and Fernando Forestieri who turn up for 20 minutes per game, but are more concerned with their coiffure for the next 40 minutes and then moan about how victimised they are for the remaining 30 minutes.

But these players are worth tens of millions, look at the skills they provide for maybe 20 minutes per game.

(Not worth tens of millions to Chris Wilder though)

Look at Bamford, Chris was livid with the muppet.

Do 'we' think our ' TEAM ' would benefit from tossers like these.

The same old faces are bleating that we need to spend 80/ 100 million to compete in the PL that were bleating that we could not remain in the Championship if we did not spend 20/30 million.

Thank god Chris Wilder gets it.

I think a realistic fee for players transfer fees is 20/30 million, the wage bill will go up to at least that as well.

3 or 4 key signings, evolution not revolution, the revolution has happened in the last 3 years.

The reason we are where we are now is club ethos, not spend/spend/spend ethos.

A club is always in some sort of danger. It’s not just about how much money you spend.Who do you think is safer us or Manchester United? We will be a lot safer in the premier league than in the championship or god forbid league one again.

Picking examples of players who cost a lot and in your opinion have bad attitudes proves nothing. Although picking Grealish as a player who turns up for 20 minutes is a new one. There’s plenty of players who would be expensive, improve us and fit the ethos.

We’re only a success because of Wilder and his staff. If you think he wouldn’t want a huge transfer kitty your deluded. If he still picks the players why wouldn’t he?

Indeed, the big mistake Fulham made was to only spend £ 100 million on players and probably a matching wage bill, so £ 200 million spent in a year.

We should show our superiority by spending £ 200 million on players.

Should we play it extra safe and have a bunch of amateurs play for a Tenner a game? Wouldn’t be successful but there would be no danger.

It’s called ambition, and Wilder has big ambitions. Hence why he considered leaving at the start of this season.

Why would Chris not want 100 mill to spend, I’m not saying he should get that btw. If he was given 100 mill he doesn’t have to spend the lot, it would just mean he could realistically build the team he wants, first choices.
Some people seem to think Chris is a masochist who likes working with both arms tied behind his back.

That is why CW is better to be in charge of our team than you.

He brought Madine in specifically to give another option, not as first choice striker.

The games against the Pigs when they 'blocked' the midfield to prevent us pushing up the wings for example.

Madine cost Cardiff £6 million so he surely fits your ethos of spending .

You seriously think he would have taken him over the other lads mentioned? No it’s lucky your not in charge if that’s your conclusion. Madine wasn’t with us because he was a success after his 6 million move was he?

The Fulham example was made within a context ie let’s not get wrapped up in the Premiership spending equals success mentality. I trust Wilder would make £100 million worth £200 million, but I don’t think he needs or would necessary want £100 million for transfers. A balance with the existing players and their wages would be a challenge amongst other things. He’ll want what he needs to get the right players, but I don’t think it’s a fixed figure and I don’t think it’s a simple case of the higher the better. It’s about attitude first and foremost.

I think the co-ownership deal commits them to put in equal funding (wherever and however it gets to the club) but as for time, I suspect McCabe has been more involved.
