I can understand going down the day before, but I don’t get why you’d want to “take over Trafalgar Square”.

I personally just want to find a pub and have a decent pint, not stand in a public place supping cans. But each to their own
It’s a Newcastle thing…They’re just keeping up with Jones’s

Isn’t this what footballs all about, the smaller clubs having their moment in anticipation of being pasted.

Another thread on the same topic - at least on this one they've bothered to call us Sheffield United, not just 'Sheffield':

Curiously enough, the starter of a thread entitled 'Anyone seen a Sheffield United fan?', and alleging 'Not one so far!', has, as his avatar, a picture of a bird of prey that looks suspiciously like the type of bird of prey our neighbours use for their badge.

I wonder?🤔

Thread on the Middlesbrough forum about this, as well:

The post in the screenshot below, made me laugh out loud:

"It'll be like looking at several thousand badly squeezed tubes of Signal toothpaste." FFS 🤣🤣🤣

Sunderland are a big club, but it’s very small time to ‘takeover’ Trafalgar Square for what’s effectively the third place chance of getting out of the second tier of football.

I could understand it for a cup final, but it doesn’t seem to warrant the occasion.

Great night in Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square last night. You have to understand that we have 35k season tickets holders and only 35k tickets so many will be missing the match. We didn’t have any sales to non season card holders. Last night was a chance for everyone to come together and enjoy the occasion.

We met a few blades fans. All great crack and complimentary of our support.
Few in our hotel who are sound and said they are coming for a pint in the pub before we head into Wembley.

Again… every Sunderland fan I know is expecting nothing short of a very tough game. Nobody is celebrating a win already or is expecting one.

As predicted, they didn’t dare come here, mind you I had Genghis and Skeeter on the door so not surprised the Mackems got scared.
I hope someone has warned the students of London that Genghis is coming.

I mean, you do you; but I find it really weird that you’re posting on the opposition forum on the morning of the playoff final whilst in London.

Let them have their fun. We've had so many bad days at Wembley that we're used to it. It has been a while for them.
