You've witnessed it today.

First half they were one of best sides I have seen visit us this year. When allowed to play from back they are dangerous. Done has cut them at the source.

3 nil up and he is pressing them, forcing errors and reclaiming possession.

Even with missing a first half 1 on 1, Superb performance.

A decent forward, underrated. If you play him as the main man, I'd dare say he'd score a fair few and in fact, he did for us and Rochdale. That said, play him as the second striker, the workhorse and he does a bloody good job of that too. People slate him because "all he does is run around". But, that's what he was tasked with. Done is to Sharp what Sharp himself was to Beattie.

Well played today Blades.

100%

Although a few football illiterates will still be determined to give him a kicking.

His pressing also meant that our midfield were able to generally receive the ball in advanced areas when the opportunity came.

He's not a great finisher. We can definitely improve on him. But out of the 4 we have Sharp & Done allows us to play a better and more successful system than Sharp & Clarke.

So funny that he got a bigger ovation than Duffy....

He was OK. Never looks like scoring. Swindon were shocking defensively. We ran riot. Really glad Lavery scored.

Posted in the match day thread at half-time that we look a far better side with him in it. The number of times he turns possession over to us by forcing poor passes is a bonus, but we don't look sluggish or struggle to stretch a team with his movement.

Shame he didn't put his chance away and remove all doubt.

So he allows Sharp to play? Another blank day for Billy. Still not scoring enough from the strikers, at least Lavery got off the mark which should do him good but I'm not sure we can rely on midfield scoring three every game.

The way I see it, if neither Clarke or Done are in goal scoring form, then Done is the player who offers more. It was up to Clarke to score when he got into the team but he hasn't grabbed his chance. It'll come around again no doubt.

Footballing teams in this league do not necessarily have the greatest technicians in defence. Done is priceless against these kinds of teams as he forces errors, miss-passes and allows other players time and space.

It's all about playing to people's strengths and having a good balance of attributes in the team. Done's technical limitations can be frustrating and he rarely gets better than a 7 out of 10 individual rating BUT he fits the system better than any of our current alternatives. His running of the channels and high pressing change the shape of the game. People talk about Sharp as the beneficiary of that but for me, Duffy is even more so. Done's stretching of the play and pressing when out of possession does 2 things.

1. It increases the space between the oppositions defence and midfield as the defence drops back thus creating an area of the pitch for Duffy to get on the ball and influence play in an advanced area.

2. His constant harrassing means we often win the ball high up the pitch and it's often Duffy who picks up those loose balls after Done forces an error. It means they haven't got everyone back and he can often look to get a through ball to Sharp or Done or get shot off.

Done was fantastic today. I know he missed his one-one-one but no other player would have made that run.

Duffy, different class. Coutts, fantastic - finally has a shot. Fleck, brilliant. Best midfield we've had since circa 2002/3.

Calm down. We've had better midfields in League One, never mind the season we finished 3rd in the Championship.

The movement of Sharp and Done especially in the second half was excellent. They didn't scored but they both played very well in particulate Done's pressuring the defence and sharp's link up play.

Not from where we sit in the middle of the Kop. He played well and deserved the applause as did Billy, but the ovation for Duffy was much longer and louder.

What a fantastic second half and I'm buzzing. The 'Sheffield Double' is just the icing on the cake,

Off out for more beer and Blades chat shortly - UTB!

We streatch defences more with him in than Clarke and we are able to press more and force the oposition into errors.

However let's not get too carried away there are better options out there in January and we should be looking in that direction then.

But at the moment Done has to start with Sharp with Lavery and Clarke off the bench.

I respectfully disagree. Weve maybe had better individuals - Quinn, McDonald and Williamson spring to mind - but as a trio they are the best we've had since Brown/Tonge/McCall - and by some margin.

You're a sensible bloke these days. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Done makes the whole work.

Entitled to your opinion but I've never seen our midfield keep the ball as well as we do now and dominate so consistently.

It's certainly the best we've had in League One. We were not as dominant in midfield the season that Ched was with us... we were good, but Ched was the talisman.

Where I sat everyone around me stood up and clapped Duffy off, the odd person stood for Done.

Name them?

Williamson-McDonald-Doyle-Quinn. Three of those four have carved out pretty decent careers in the Championship - our current lot look good in this league but maybe have never played consistently in the league above for a reason.

I would also argue when we came down with the likes of Quinn, Monty, Tonge, Gillespie, Quinn and Speed we could have pieced together a stronger midfield. All of those lot consistently played at a higher level than Coutts, Fleck and Duffy.

Or maybe the season after with Cotterill, Ward, Speed, Monty, Howard etc. Again, all very good Championship players then and now.

They obviously look good in this league but it's a step above in the Championship.

Individually perhaps. As a unit, none of them have performed nearly as well as ours is at the moment.

Despite the Runarounders' spin, their man gave his usual performance. Ran around a lot and missed chances. I knew he would.
