I still think it will take 94-95 points.

Fleetwood are still in good form, winning at Walsall is as hard as it gets, and fucking Bolton have found goal scoring form from nowhere.

That would mean we would need to win 8 out of last nine, I don't see it being that many, both Fleetwood and Bolton would have to go on the sort of Run the Pigs did in 2012, one of them might do that possibly, but surely not both?

Zablade.....we need one of two spots to go up. That means if each team around us won every game from now, we need a minimum of 95 points.

But can you really see One side winning every remaining game...never mind 2.

There is more chance we would win every remaining game than them.

I am on about guaranteeing finishing first, didn't perhaps make that clear.

89-91 should clinch second.

We have 9 games left. If we can win 5 of those and lose 4 (we have only lost 6 games the whole season so far and 3 of those were in the first 4 games) then we would have 90 points.
Fleetwood have 9 games left and for them to get to 90 points they would have to get a further 23 points which means winning 7 and drawing 2 or winning 8 so they could only afford to lose one game from now on.
Bolton have 10 games left but for them to get to 90 points they need to win 8 games so could lose 2 or if they win 7 and draw 3 then they could not afford to lose at all.
Scunny have only 8 games left and to get to 90 points they need to win every game.
I have ignored that some of these teams I think play each other.
So....surely we can win 5 more games or win 4 and draw 3 out of the 9 remaining? Not counting my chickens but it's looking good.

with the bottom 4 already 5 points adrift , we play our first game against the bottom three 4 games from now .and our 3 games v port vale coventry and chesterfield all 3 could be already relegated when we play them
coventry especially
should be easier than swindon

Fair enough Zablade.
I want to win the league needs think 91 points will be our tally. I don't see anyone else getting to 88 points in reality. I see them dropping more points than that.

To make everyone feel better but sky bet are now saying its 100-1 for us to make the play offs! Don't they know bolton are 9 points behind with a game in hand and we have more difficult fixtures and were sheffield united!

Don't agree. Sometimes a side with nowt to play for will relax and just play. Whereas we may be tense.
I wan teams tense and stressed when they play us, I would prefer games against mid table mediocrity.

But saying that, if we can't get enough points whenplaying teams at the bottom we don't deserve to be successful.

when have we looked tense against a bottom half team this season
again tonight 17 shots at goal, greater possession away from home
scored 4 and fat lad not on the sheet

We haven't...I didn't say that.
I said, that by the time it gets to that point of the season and against teams who are relegated and done they may relax and improve now the pressure is done. They can play without fear as their fate is sealed.
We however, may be in a three way fight for promotion separated by a few points and desperate for the win. That may make us tense I would suggest.

All will be revealed very soon

Fleetwood are 8 points behind and can get 27 points. Statistically, they are the third placed team because of BWFC's game in hand. If they win every game, we'd need 20 points to guarantee promotion.

Bolton are 9 points behind but can get 30 points; this means they can get further in front of us than Fleetwood. If they win every game, we need 22 points for the title.

Magic Number = 20/22 points won in 9 games but this reduces every time Fleetwood or Bolton drop points.

Earliest we can win promotion = Coventry (h)

Earliest we can win title = Northampton (a)
Champs at sixfields hope so. Not far for us cobblers fans to pissed up and have another party.

Think CW will make sure theres no fear . No game we have left should cause us any more fear than bolton at home did and we romped that

Patience, and it will all unravel and let's see where we are.

Or maybe try to influence events by fervent vocal encouragement for the run-in?...

Well, those lucky few not dumbstruck in awe of the relentless opposition, anxiety and being let down by entirely different players...

He's appeh he knows, wilders top and he knows, he's appeh it shows, wilders top and he knows he's appeh

I think we will comfortably clear 90 points, and I highly doubt anyone else will.

I expect Bolton, Millwall and Fleetwood to be separated by one or two points, meaning we could secure promotion and win the title at the same time. I reckon Port Vale or Bradford game.

I also think Scunthorpe will miss out on the playoffs.

Although at this stage there is still an amount of pessimism running through my head, in the end I doubt we will need as many points as we seem to think. We will be promoted without knowing it as I fully expect our rivals dropping points in the last couple of games. I desperately want us to go up at a home game but fully expect it to be in the most passive way possible so it stifles our celebrations. I can see us looking back saying 'we couldn't be caught after the Bradford match'

Why do the doubters say we had to gett through Februaty as thos games are a resl test . A test we passed with flying colurs . But now they moved the goal posts and are saying the remaining games against bottom half clubs is a big test as they are fighting for their lives.well which is it

If it takes 12 minutes for Douglas to run a bath what colour is his sister's front door ?

Shall we just see how many we've won at the end of April, if it's more than the other teams jobs a good un & the open topped bus will be on.

(It's a red & white door obviously Douglas & his sister are Blades)
