So are you saying we aren't trying to to that ?...We might not be the best at it but if you have seen the last 6 games or so you nsurely could disagree with that comment

No we are not the best at all...some of it being downright ponderous, with little penetration.
However the inter passing that led to Blackman's goal against Carlisle, I liked very much.
Westlake too has added a better dimension going forward....a slight imitation of last years Lowton.

What I,m saying to play a passing game as we did for most of last season isnt possible with the players we have now and we cant dress it up and say we are a footballing side.

Wilson now knows he can afford the luxury of 3 frontmen getting the ball to them from the back and midfield quickly to me this is a form of direct football.

Im not having a go at the manager we are the best side in the division and whatever gets us up so be it.

I think you are being a little harsh....i think we were very direct at times last season, looking for Ched at the earliest opportunity in the main with Quinn and Willo as other options(i hope we can get Willo back in January)

The football against Steveange,Crewe, the 2nd half at Brentford were comparable to last season and as Zanzibar has rightly said,Blackman's goal on Saturday (as well as the entire 1st half )was excellant

We are no where near perfect, but I think our style has improved the last few games

Yes we did get the ball up quickly to Ched but we got it down and to feet and we were hurting opposition

It has improved of late and i beleive Wilsons getting it right.

Playing tiptap around the back four and deep midfield then hitting it long to the frontmen is not a passing game.

Wilson has a more posetive approach of late so lets get at Tranmere with it Saturday

The first 10 minutes against Carlisle was not excellent it was garbage. When the Blades started playing it along the ground we started to get results.

Think this showed even against a team out of form and small (Carlisle), lumping it up in the air with no Hatton/Deane/Henderson/Evans isn't going to get us very far.

We were good at doing little triangles, pass, turn, run and Flynn was good. We just need to get a trio of players doing this across the whole field not just the one in possession. We need a bit more movement and lads wanting the ball. I can see it's there, but needs working on. Also if 'Harry' (Hill) could aim for the penalty arc he might get a cross in on one of our forwards heads instead of into the crowd (or at Carlisle amongst the sheep).

I think there's been times this season when we've passed it around a lot and been really ineffectual and really boring - which only goes toshow what most always knew - it's much more compicated than football V Hoof - they can both be dull / exciting / effective / pointless if done badly.

Yes, and I think this season it's been more a case of defensive vs attacking tactics and line ups. A bit more on that here:
