Often disappointed, never discouraged
One of my earliest "third division" memries comes bouncing back to me this morning. It's actually from the previous season, around about this time of year in 2011, when it became clear we that were almost definitely going down ...
Now then, says I to BadBuy jr. This will be a good time to move from John St to the South Stand. Loads of people won't renew, and I bet there's some top seats about to come up, bang behind the dugouts in the South. If I get my finger out, renewing and moving us, when we're back in the Championship and rocking, next year, we'll be able to watch decent players and managers from some of the best seats in the ground !
As this memrie will confirm, even a stopped clock, er, tells the right time, er, once every six years. Or something.
