A fine day spent for the most part in an advanced state of refreshment. I make a brief appearance in the video - queuing for beer naturally - and always smile at the police welcome as we got off the boat as they were expecting the BBC.

Good day, spoilt by a terrible match and weather. Stood on an open terrace, losing something like 4-0 and soaking. Many left at half time. We didn't. Only because I said I had never left a match early. I still get grief for that occasionally from those I went with whenever that day gets mentioned.
Am on that video a few times talking to a few people I used to see regularly. Thanks for the link. Was a great day out.

Sheff, it's not me honestly. I've just read the article and there must have been one of the London Blades at that time who went under the name of Blackheath Blade. Most definitely wasn't me although it sounded a great day out.

Hope to see you again before the end of the season, will you be going next week or to Gillingham?

Yep - Andy Hibbins ex-Royal Navy piss-artist and now reformed and healthy-living in Essex!

Was the first of many great London Blades days out for me whilst living in Maidenhead.

Made some great friends some of whom I still see regularly at games, including the then "Woodford Green" who now sits next to me at BDTBL

Wapping Blade confirms i'm in the clear mate. Got my ticket for Fulham today so depending on where everyone is meeting for a drink, i'll hopefully see you next week.
