As we all know Sheffield United are cursed. This season, the evil god of the curse " Bladeor" has gone for the jugular via injuries to Miller, Collins, Hill and Kitson when he hit form. There was a thread on here last season debating "the curse" do any sill hold the belief the curse is a myth, despite the overwhelming evidence?

The curse last season was a bizarre set of circumstances but this seasons its one or two injuries that any club can expect. Miller's injury was unlucky but we had Blackman scoring the goals and WE chose to sell him. No criminal case pending over our strikers heads or BS like that this season.

If anything this season going tits up as solely our fault as a club much like mismanagement that led to our relegation from the Championship. We maybe cursed to a degree but our current situation is down to our own fuck ups this season. Sometimes the manager, the players and the complete twat of a chairman have to sit up and be counted.

We lost 2 of our back line in one week due to them getting their faces smashed in.

So? players get injured and we knew at the start of the season we didn't have proper cover for Maguire and Collins. We were all saying all it takes is for a suspension or injury to cock up the back 4.

You dont think losing 2 key defenders in one week is unlucky? And not even niggly injuries, shattered face bones.

Every club gets injuries

Name me another club who lost 2 defenders in the same week to serious injuries and their best striker for the entire season.

We are cursed.

Cursed sometimes but sometimes we do shoot ourselves in the foot to add to it.

Anything of late is all our own doing through lack of foresight and ambition. Foolish not to expect injuries or long term injuries and even more foolish to sell your top scorer then make some limp wristed bid for a striker with 40 minutes left in the transfer window. What would have made more sense to release Philliskirk (which we did) and sell Porter to Shrewsbury try to keep Blackman. Then add to the squad with someone like Forte or BWP.

It always has to be one step forward and two steps back with United.
