Having watched the Blades since I was a young lad, yes I was one once, I'm just wondering what it costs to follow the Blades home and away for a season?

If you want the full experience such as snacks, a few pints, a programme, a half time pie etc..plus the petrol or coach fare. how much do you spend? Don't forget the ticket price!

Anyone fancy adding it up this season? A running total perhaps?

I would be better someone doing it who intends to go to every game but it won't hurt by knowing a match by match cost for others!

How much for Birmingham anyone?

I wouldn't want to even start trying to add up everything I spend on the day of a game... i.e. food when wandering around!

I'll try and keep tabs on money spent inside the ground, ticket price and make a rough guess on petrol costs based on mileage at the end of the season.

Anything else would be too scary!

Well I was set back £45 for yesterday, but I didn't buy a programme after they tried to charge me £3.50. Wasn't paying that for a programme!

Yesterday
Travel - £17
Ticket - £10
Food and Drink - £5.50

Overall £32.50

It was pretty cheap for us to go to Birmingham yesterday :D

two match tickets and travel = £30
programme = £3.50

overall = £33.50

They will be asking £4 per programme at the lane on selected matchdays :eek:

Season ticket - £300
Cup matches at home - £70, assuming we last at least a couple of rounds.
Weekend matches spending per match, (considering for night matches I usually drive, straight there and straight home) beer, fags, pie, bovril, bus into town, taxi home, possibility of trip to Wetherspoons and then dodgy kebab after - £45. Ish. Times by, around eighteenish, rough total of £900.
Away trips - £200, bearing in mind I don't get to many.
Shirts, including printing on the back and trip to shop with possibility of more spending - £100.

So roughly £1500 per season. Worth it? Yes.

Good friend of me, not a Blade, told me I could have buy a house instead of visiting Bramall Lane since 1981.
Reply: Glad I don t own a house, glad I am a Blade

Birmingham:
2 tickets: £25
Programme: £3.50
Petrol: ?????? No idea...Ipswich to Birmingham is around 2 and a half hours but as I don't drive I have no idea how much it costs!
Drink: £2.50

Total: £31 plus petrol!

Ticket - £10
Travel - £17
Dinner - £4 (Subway offer :) )
Drink - £3.10
Watching the Blades lose it all in the last minute - Priceless

Total = £34.10

If I'd have gone to Birmingham...... I know it would be a fair bit more than the figures being touted (shorehamview apart)

I've spent £135.98 in the last three weeks at the Lane :(

My figure has fell dramatically due to working Saturdays now, which limits me to just a select few away games and all home games.

Last years I dont even wanna add up! Especially when I worked out I spent around £100-odd on programs alone! :shakehead:

How much for the QPR match anyone?

I must have spent £25 plus my season ticket match price.

QPR match cost me:

£2 - season ticket match price
£3 - programme
£1 - drink
didn't have anything to eat
£0 - travel, free buspass

Overall = £6
