The Blame Game

I wonder if the messages / reaction on this site were the same after we lost by a three goal deficit last February at Crewe.

That 3 goal loss last February was followed by a solid 1-0 cup win in London. This week since the 3 goal defeat at Swindon all the doom merchants have had a field day.

Let's hope this 1-0 cup win in the capital will kick start our season and we all start believing again and put our trust in Cloughie to get it right.

using hindsight was saturdays reaction just a tad over the top from some ,
teams sometimes out of the blue have off days , a bad day at the office
well looks like the toners been changed and the milks arrived and julies wearing that short skirt again

Not really BTL. The discussion since Saturday has been largely 'where's the fucking investment?' rather than 'we done got stuffed'. We all know how shit United played against Swindon and it is heartening that Clough has got some of the message across to the defence tonight to mix it up somewhat.

But there are still too many unanswered questions off the field.

Couldn't give one fat fuck about the League Cup, to be honest. I'd rather we got our L1 game in order, stopped conceding and started scoring in that field of play, and aimed for automatic.

Of course not, the result is the same and we still have it in us to perform to that level.

And as many (many) have said, it's not just about Saturday's result in isolation. It's about the performances for the majority of the season - even when we won;

Was Clough's reaction after the game where he said the defence isn't good enough a tad over the top?

Saturday will tell us much more than last night, we need a solid, commanding home performance, let's see.
