Give over. I was a keeper and it would have been a brilliant save given the pace it was crossed/hit with. too quick to set yourself properly.

I don't understand how the concept of 3 games in a week and playing in 30degrees leaves players struggling to press and run about in the second half. Man Utd players never ran about either they just kept possession. I apologise for the veiled insult but you just seem to be arguing a daft point for the sake of it.

Well Wilder isn't happy, he thinks the players are not performing as they should be. He said we didn't get close to them tonight when we should be, didn't put enough tackles in etc.

He said multiple factors might be why we are the way we are but even he says there are no excuses for not doing the basics right. Heat, busy schedule, injuries whatever excuse we want to use we have set standards and we are not sticking to them at the moment.

I assume you have had a good career in professional football if you would have comfortably saved a first-time shot from a top-class striker from about 6 yards out. One problem we have not had this year is with goalkeeping (and quite a few on here have criticised Henderson at times this season).

I am as disappointed as anyone, but given this is our first season back in the Premier League I am delighted by the way we have equipped ourselves. I have been watching Utd since 1970 and I am so jealous of my 16 year old son, who already has witnessed some of the best football played at Bramall Lane in those last fifty years.
Pre resumption of this season, like everyone else I looked at teams who had little to play for, teams we still had to play, those who had achieved their preseason objectives, which was basically survival? I forgot to factor in that we were, actually also one of those teams. I am happy that we will play Premier League football again next season, I don’t care that we will miss out on Europa League, because I think that we would currently be making up the numbers and our participation would more than likely, be detrimental to next seasons Premier League survival.
Like I said, I’ve been watching us for fifty years, I’ll happily take steady improvement rather than boom and bust.
