That was just bizarre!

Maybe.

You cant say that a draw there tonight isn't a good point though, especially in view of their home form and many people saying they're one of the best teams we've played this season?

He rolled the dice tonight and scored a four with the other results, he would have taken that at the start.

I think if Ramsey had still been here he would have played tonight as well.

Why play a weakened team against a mid table side when statistically you've better odds on coming home with 3 points than we have Saturday?
That was 2 points thrown away for me.
Makes Saturdays game even more important now, only at the end of the season will tonight's result show it's importance.

You may well be proved right. But let's wait to see how many points we've put on the board over the next two games.

Maximum points and tonight's decision will be seen as a stroke of genius. If we end up with disappointing results against Scunny and Bolton then tonight may well be seen as an opportunity lost.

Let's continue to trust in Chris.

If we lose on Saturday then it will have backfired. If not, no problem.

It was a rather odd decision. I was certainly shocked when I saw how many changes he made. I could understand one of 2, but never expected that many.

Also doesn't make sense to 'rest players' and then bring them off the bench.

Who knows.
Perhaps the manager looked at those who played Saturday in training and decided they looked jaded. So rewarded players who have been working hard to try and win a place.

Whatever way you look at it....we have a relatively fresh squad ready for two big home games, and several players fighting for a starting spot after doing ok tonight.

Only player who hasn't had a rest lately....Fleck!

Imo a draw wasn't a good result. Go out for a win against a mid table team or second place?
Bizarre imo. Wilder got lucky tonight.

A good point against a good home side with our reserves, infact that makes the result even better. :)

Me . I will leave it up to Wilder and

Thats why we have a squad to utilise it as and when . My role is to sit in the stand or stand on the terrace , and give any bloke in a red and white shirt my support.

They know what they are doing with what's coming over the hill in the next couple of weeks.

Whats bizarre is we are top of the league, get a quality away point at a tough place, rested a few players with some big games to come, on course to win the League (easily it will turn out) things have not looked this good for years and years...

But

Some Blades are not happy though, team selection not up to their standards, they would have done it differently, played what they perceive as "full strength" which in all certainty would have guaranteed absolutely diddly squat, we might have won, might have drawn, lost even., who knows?

But what we do know is that is a valuable point derived from a game plan from someone who knows better than all the Football Manager brigade on here.

A point tonight (that's 3 clean sheets in 3 since the return of Jake Wright), plus the 3 on Saturday and it's not a bad haul from 2 difficult looking away games. Though looking at the team that started tonight, to me, it looked too lightweight, with only JOC as one that you could class as a proper big lad in the team. EEL for Basham and Hanson for Done and the team starts to look physically and mentally stronger.

Did he get lucky?
We had chances, we could easily have snatched a win.
Maybe Wilder trusts his players and picked a side he believed would win while setting them up tactically to suit the players he picked too.

I don't think we can level any accusation at the manager to say he didn't go for the win tonight.

The name explains it all
