... shouldn't have happened.

Photo 1 shows a guy possibly offside, but he's no issue as Anel takes him out of the way in Photo 2.

Photo 2 is the key to what happened. You can see that Anel has taken his guy out of play in the centre (above No 20). In the front I think it is Alfie and Sydie who are both obsessed with the ball and commit the cardinal sin of ignoring the guy in between them. If one of them ignores the ball and just jumps into and disrupts him the goal doesn't happen. You can also see Robbo being deliberately blocked by a guy throwing his back into him, allowing the guy beyond him (Bianchini) to run free.

Photo 3 is the inevitable result. The guy in between Alfie and Sydie has been allowed to jump freely and won the ball. Robbo has been knocked out of the way and Bianchini is now completely free beyond him.

In Photo 4 GoalCooper makes a great save, but Bianchini is now all alone in the 6 yard box....

We escaped with a "W" in this game through the introduction of the power, speed and ability that is Femi Seriki, who I call the next Kyle Walker. However, this goal really shouldn't have happened and, as ThirdGenBlade said in another thread, it wouldn't have if Souttar or McBurnie had been on the pitch. Men score goals, not the ball and your job is to stop your man from doing that. 2 markers allowing somebody to jump freely really shouldn't happen.

Anyway, with Big Dog BBD and a pair of TC's on the scene we will outscore anybody now!

And it was a needless and sloppy free kick to give away in the first place

You generally don't need to foul a centre half running down the wing on his weaker foot

Especially when you're confident of containing the opponent in open play

Especially when your ability to defend set pieces is compromised due to absences - with only Anel over 6 foot

Agreed, I don't know what COH was thinking of, he'd done the hard work and got back goal side of him, why he had to foul him I don't understand.

COH was poor last night time after time he gave away needless free kicks , looked knackered

Why on earth were fans going nuts blaming Brewster straight after?? He just seems an easy target for some.

Glad he scored to shut a few up.

He is I said the same at the time last night - it seemed Brewster was the scapegoat for everything

If he scored every game between now and May people would still moan about him.

I sit fairly close to the pitch and he’s one of the only players who expresses emotion on the pitch. He clearly loves being out there & didn’t want to be injured despite some people claiming he’s just rinsing the club financially.

I’m absolutely not sticking up for his footballing ability, his movement is shocking at times. His shots can hit row Z.

If the conversation was Brewsters not good enough then that is a completely fair debate & he’s not worth £22m we all know that, but that was 5 years ago now so we have to move on.

I personally don’t think i could knock him as a character.

One of the shortest starting 11 we've had in a while and it showed at set pieces.

Souttar and Moore offered so much at set pieces but we seemed like midgets tonight. Even Vini would be a welcome return for his height at corners etc.
Big time , no pun intended by the way .. we said the same on Saturday too .. no Vini , Moore & Souttar makes a big difference on set pieces

Because either A) the goal scorer was brewsters man and he just let him run off free into box or B) the blocker on robbo was brewster man and he just let him do exactly that leaving robbo with 2 men. He's marking nothing in those pictures.

That goal as I said last night is either robbo or brewsters man, both have a part to play in it as well as gilchrist missed timed jump to prevent inital header.

Isn't the issue Robbo is dealing with two Swansea players. The one shoving his back into him and Bianchini. Brewster and RND are onlookers, the player behind them has Burrows on him I think. Bianchini then moves forward and nods in the goal. I'd say RND should have been with Robbo, instead of leaving him to deal with 2 players.
