If we keep the same formation it’ll be something like this...

I think there will be one or two talking points when the teams announced that’s for sure!

I don't think it's in CWAK's DNA to be looking how to stop Man U. They'll be more focused on how to get our system firing again - not least because it's the system that gives oppositions headaches. Get the system to work and we stand the best hope of not getting a tonking! I don't see formation changes happening (not major ones anyway - it'll still be a version of 3-5-2)

I'd like to see him try Berge in the holding role - with expectations so low, what's to lose? Didzy needs to play to offer a link, perhaps with Moose. At the back it'll all come down to who's fit.

I think Robinson played in the middle of a back 3 on occasion at QPR. Might be wrong. But don't be surprised if he starts there, with Enda LCB.

Moore.
Basham Norwood Rodwell. Baldock Stevens.
Fleck Berge Lunstream
Mousett McBurnie. Trying something new and getting Norwood to organise from the back, Letting Bwrgetry his preferred role. SUBS to be use L. Freeman, Sharp, Mcgoldrick, Osborn. Robinson

Wouldnt mind playing a Diamond like we did on occasion in our last league 1 season.

Verrips
Baldock, Basham, Robinson, Stevens
Berge/Norwood
Lundstram, Fleck
Freeman
McBurnie, Mousset

Didsy could also play in place of McBurnie or Freeman

i was really impressed by rodwell in the game he played. then again that was against afc fylde

Moore
Baldock Basham Jagielka Robinson Stevens
Lundstram Norwood Fleck
McGoldrick Mousset

Hey lads! Here comes some strong wind, let's piss in it!!

Mousset and 10 others
He gave them a right fucking fright last time out and his pace is our only chance of getting anything at all from this

Tha knows summat dunt tha? ;)

Ha! I wish!... just stuck my neck out with that comment! Hahaha

I was watching a Man U fan YouTube channel earlier though and it seems they’re worried about pace up front.
Get Mousse and Zee on!!

Aye!

Harry Maguire v Moose and Richairio (or whatever the flip they call him?). No contest.
I’m still purring from when Luton Shelton tore them a new one 15 years ago!

Hahaha... he did look lively in that game.

I’m still purring from when Mousse scared them half to death at the Lane! Hope we get some of that magic tomorrow!

..................................Moore

Baldock.........Bash.................Robinson............Stevens

Lunny........Berge.....Norwood......Freeman...........Fleck

................................Macburnie

Four, Five, One Look to contain, hope Man U have an off day and we get a bit of luck.

I have only gone for Macburnie instead of Didsy or Mousett as I think we will need his height to defend set pieces.

Look with the back line decimated a point at Old Trafford would be the result of the season, a win would be one of our greatest results of the last 40 Years. In reality I would probably settle for a similar result as at Anfield and get the fuck out of there without any confidence smashing humiliation.

So frustrating as pre Covid with our strongest team out I fancied giving them a real game.
Would you like to see 100% of the game played in our half of the pitch ?

Just saying like !😉.

Assuming neither JoC nor Jags are fit to play, I would go with:

Moore
Baldock Basham Robinson Stevens Osborn
Lundstram Norwood Fleck
McGoldrick
Sharp

If it's not working we could push Osborn into midfield & try 4-4-2 without using any subs.
To start I think we need someone up front who can hold the ball up and win us a few free-kicks high up the pitch. Don't see anyone better than Billy for that. The Sharp/McBurnie pairing doesn't seem to be working somehow.
Bring Mousset on for the last half hour (assuming he can be bothered to run around a bit).
Pity we sent Besic back because he would be ideal for this game.

That’s how I would see it. Although I wouldn’t rule out Bash going middle, George RCB and KF RWB.

You can be sure if he tinkers with the starting strikers, Sharp will make way !!
