Team for Chesterfield

I see that Porter played in the reserves game today, which would indicate that he's out of the squad for Wednesday. He and Ched linked up well at Brentford but were less effective at Colchester in the two games I've seen most recently.

I'd go with:

Simonsen

Lowton Maguire Collins Taylor

Williamson McDonald Doyle Quinn

Evans Cresswell

subs Howard, Williams, Hoskins, O'Halloran, Beattie​

Attacking bench and Cresswell gets the nod to start. Slightly harsh on Hill who drops out of the squad but I just feel that Taylor is the best right back we've got and he's not on loan!

Cresswell gets in over Hoskins by virtue of him and Ched having played together for most of the season and I feel Hoskins will be effective coming off the bench after 60-65 mins to take on the tiring Chesterfield back line.

I'd go slightly more attacking in Hoskins for cressy other than that i'd agree, however think he will go with unchanged from Notts county.

Maybe DW will take a view on Hill - who has cost us quite a few goals since he came into the side.
That may be cos he isn't match sharp, however, he should offer us more in terms of defensive work on set plays with his heading ability - required now that LJF is out for a long time
Maybe Williams will start at left back instead with Hill on the bench.
Other than that I can see it being the same starting 11 as County

Taylor played 90 for the reserves which would indicate that it'll be the same line-up as against County.

Balham Blade i think the side you've picked there is the side i'd pick. However i'd put Hill on the bench ahead of Williams. Mainly because of versatility

Can't see any reason to change something that's not broke. Most of the 11 against Notts C (LB excepted) were the team that won 11 out of 14 not that long ago.
