More than a few of us knew that this lad could, and almost certainly would have made a difference for us in January. For a price similar to what we ended up paying in the end anyway. Bonkers forward thinking and those at the club who sanctioned those funds on a player that has had ZERO impact at the club instead need to have a serious look in the mirror.

The one and only positive today. He looks intelligent, strong and a proper battler. If the other ten had shown even half as much effort as him, we would have got something from that game.
Another positive is that Ings looks as if he will be a big upgrade on Campbell.

He demonstrated why you can play a high line with him in defence (if properly coached)

That block on Burgzorg (incredibly wasteful) where he stood up to the right footed feint to shoot was superb

Heard he's handed in a transfer request
He’s surely got a bad case of buyer’s remorse after that shambles!

The one and only positive today.

Not quite, One did some good things, in particular a great cross that nobody attacked, until he was switched to RWB, which is probably not young Ryan’s natural position.

Tanganga's quality.
I'm still surprised he's here.

At £1.5m, a lot of PL clubs have had a stinker not bolstering their ranks with a player of his calibre.

He's a lot better on the ball than people give him credit for too.

Exactly this, it’s not exactly hindsight either, everyone was saying we needed a Souttar replacement.

Absolute madness to have spent what we did on Cannon rather than get Tanganga in.

Pleased he’s had such a good debut mind.

You joke, but the more these players are coached the worse they look.

Our best performance of the season was the first half against Bristol City.

Unfortunately I haven't watched a match live this season. Watching on the box has availed me of the opportunity to break matches down.

After Bristol City and Brum the manager essentially bottled using his system (didn't see Swansea so can't comment). We morphed into a counter attacking team vs Millwall. Our press became the half way line. We became fixated on the goalkeeper playing out.The full backs were tucked in more. The team had no width until he tweaked it second half.

I was expecting a similar thing yesterday although it wouldn't have boded well that he'd reneged on his vision so early. Instead we committed a lot of men forward first half (often five in their half) with Boro playing through, over or round our press pretty comfortably for the most part. The middle of the pitch is a crisis area as our players (bar Peck sometimes) vacate the area (Soumare vs Brum was the same, getting dragged all over). One vertical pass through the middle and you're in. Our defensive line was very high making playing through, over or around us relatively easy as their was generally little pressure on the ball from our players.Their goal came from one of these balls. If it wasn't for Boro wastefulness and last ditch Tanganga brilliance our punishment would've been much worse.

Premier league defending that. The athleticism, reading of the situation and fitness to do it so deep into the game was absolutely superb.

Highlight of the game for me. And probably the third best moment of the season in truth…..

On the SSN Deadline Day thingy, they have all summer transfers flipping through on right side of the screen. Instead of saying undisclosed (as most are), it says £10m

Easily our best player today. Even more impressive because it was in his first game in a new lack of system and with new teamates.
Quality players dont need to work out new systems and formations.

Football is a very simple game.

Tanganga made our other defenders look very ordinary.

Some of the defending was embarrassing.
