Got to agree. If we lose, well we will witness a full house and can be proud of being the lowest ranked team left in the competition. However, it won't feel any different to losing a league game, in fact won't even feel that bad!

On the other hand, if we win, there will be no one saying 'oh it'd have been better if we could have beaten Wednesday'. No one will give a monkeys, as we'd be too busy planning our Wembley trip. Delighted with how this turned out.

Been a right nerve fest playing the pigs , we as fans can now go and just back the lads and hope it pans out , cant lose , if we go out well lost to a team that defeated the team that was going to destroy us , as they put it

Taking our season into account, I think it's better we play Charlton than the Pigs. Don't get me wrong, both teams would be tough opposition and I'd be amazed if Charlton weren't favourites to beat us, as that lot would have been.

But from our position, still way too close to the relegation zone (although a win tonight would ease that a good deal), having a much less high profile game works well. If we lose to Charlton, then we'd be disappointed but it's nothing on losing to them and the potential spiral downwards that could cause. Plus we can all forget about the cup game until the 8th or 9th, would would have been impossible had a Derby been looming.

Finally, it's an occasion we can actually enjoy as opposed to being bags of nerves. Of course, there is nothing to say we couldn't have beaten the Pigs, but the stress we can all do without right now.

Yeah, totally agree, it wouldn't be a shame to lose to Charlton and in the same breath we have a chance to make the semi finals plus all the stress has gone out of it too, but also all the hassle as it would have been overpoliced and a lunchtime kick off, gestapo barriers up outside the cricks and all the helicopter silliness that comes with the derby....

Let's just have a civilised thrilling cup tie, without those big time clowns, where the better team on the day wins, and we can all say well done like grown ups.do

Leave the big kids in s6

2 teams from the south and the rest from the north, hopefully at least 1 less southern team after we beat Charlton
